Nickel Belt Buckle End Tips - 1.25" (Qty 10)

Keep webbing from fraying.

My web belt was wearing out but the buckle was still good ... so instead of shelling out for a whole new belt I decided to be thrifty and just replace the webbing. It's easy to do. After cutting the webbing to the desired length, you've got to squeeze one of these babies onto one end to keep it from fraying. (The other end gets clamped in the back of the buckle, duh!) Without an end tip, the cut end of the webbing will very quickly get fuzzy and difficult to feed through your belt buckle.Just lay the end of the webbing in the fold, and squeeze the tip shut with some pliers, making sure the end tip teeth "bite" into the webbing. Unless for some reason you have a 1 1/4" wide set of pliers, you will need to squeeze gradually and shift positions from side to side so the end tip closes down evenly all the way across. Wrap fabric around it so you won't get plier teeth-marks in the metal - a small strip of webbing works great for this.

These work great. It is nice to have many of them, so I can make many different colored belts and just switch the slider buckle. Tip: don't apply pliers to them directly. Squeeze them in place with your fingers, then cover them with the other end of the belt or some thick material, then squeeze completely closed with the pliers. Keeps the tip from getting dented or scratched.

Glad I found these. Helped me refurbish some old belts. Good product, fit well.
