Miracle-Gro EverGreen Shady Lawn Seed 420 G - 14 M2

It is growing but has taken some time and a lot of watering to get this far. Admittedly it is in some parts very shady which might explain the slow growing. In other areas of the lawn it is growing very well and I am happy with the results.

After reading the reviews, I was not expecting the seeds to germinate quickly but they did! I was pleasantly surprised to see some short green grass in less than 2weeks! I suppose the rainy weather in October helped a lot and maybe the top soil we used was good too (used Verve peat free top soil). Look forward to seeing a green thick lawn in the very near future. My only negative comment is that not all seeds germinated, so there are some bald patches...

Over sew the area, grass up within a week.

I don't know about this lawn seed. I followed the instructions but it took so long to germinate almost 3 weeks even tho I sowed it in May and when it finally germinated it was very patchy and most of the seeds didn’t germinate or the ones that germinated were very delicate and died shortly after. Never had this problem with Rye grass maybe its my soil type I don’t know.

Grass grew!

Despite all the preparation and careful watering, these seeds did not germinate. Absolutely nothing! Planted in front and back garden and neither has taken. What a waste of money and frustrating because of the hours of effort and preparation to get the conditions right for sowing. Grr.

Worked somewhat. Difficult garden but used these with a mix of several other seeds and had a great result after years of trying different seeds.

Early doors - way too early to tell but early signs are positive. Specifically purchased shady, clay based lawn
