Good quality net. It’s not as big as I thought it would be. Should’ve looked at measurements! The shape of the net is great for catching crabs, minnows, and fish up to around 24” I’m guessing. It’s a bit small for big black drum if you know what I mean.

I initially bought this for fishing, but one of our baby chickens got out in the backyard. We’ve been chasing it for 10 minutes or so. I went and grabbed this caught it in two seconds didn’t want the Hawks to eat the baby.

Metal is too soft for the application. Collapsing feature was well done, but quickly fails if dirt / salt water get on the pole. Connecting net and set up was easy, using one bolt to connect pole to net frame. The net frame also quickly failed at the connection point as a few videos showed here. Should have researched a bit, will give customer service a call to see options. UPDATE: Customer service reached out to me first and provided a refund without me asking! This should serve as an example for all sellers as many would not have taken the effort for a positive experience!

Bought this to manage my outdoor koi pond. While the size and netting is good, this net is not for any heavy use like removing leaves from the pond. The lock mechanisms (twist to tighten) does not hold and I snapped the aluminum loop with a single load of wet leaves (perhaps a third full). So, if you only want light duty, this would be fine. Otherwise, you will need to spend more on something more sturdy.

First use and metal part connecting netting “loop” to the telescoping handle snapped. Update: Company contacted me and offered another replacement. I was surprised for following up and a great service, received a new item, which is a different model. It seems as more robust and netting is way better. Gang, don’t bother with this net unless you are chasing butterflies once a year or you need a holloween prop. The head uses rivets so any real use wears these rivets and rivets cannot be tightened, and even if you have a rivet gun at some point you will run out of hole size. Rivets are the wrong fastener, and a fastener is probably inappropriate anyway. It’s a reasonable attempt at a cheap, length-adjustable net but it can’t last. Low marks on the net for durability. I use it to catch docile dove in my loft and that light duty has worn it in a short time. I wouldn’t buy this again for $5 because I will just need to buy a real one at some point.

I have a pond with lots of string algae in it after the UV light blew. This net (which has a good sized gauge) is very good for removing it and some other pond debris. It is just about long enough and strong enough to do the job nicely. If you are landing heavy fish it may not be durable enough but for my purposes this has been quite effective. 4* as the screw head comes loose after a bit and I need to remember to tighten it each time before using it. Would definitely consider buying it again if I needed to replace in a couple of years time.

This net is absolutely rubbish. Quality is pathetic. The netting is like wet toilet paper might be okay if you’re catching sticklebacks from a stream.
