Overall, this is an awesome product - especially for the price. I spent hours and hours looking for an AC that has power without breaking the bank. This machine is easy to set up, fast to cool and staying cold, you don't have to worry about emptying or water leaking, and it went well above its duties in square footage - reaching all the way from my bedroom through my roommate's across the hall (well over 800 sq ft total). There are just a few personal critiques I have.Really good at keeping things cold! It was relatively easy to set up and the evaporator feature worked awesomely - I have a carpeted floor in my bedroom and was a little worried about condensation or water dripping, but everything stayed dry and I never had to worry about emptying it! Though it worked a little too well at drying out my room so I'd wake up a little scratchy in the throat sometimes (but I'd much prefer that over sticky mugginess!)It is a little loud, even on low. I work grave so I sleep during the day and it definitely did a good job of blocking noise from outside, but sometimes I had to turn it to "fan" setting just to turn down the sound. Noise aside, I do wish there were a couple more options for speed. I also wish the vents on the front actually worked. They only minimally provide directional change to the air flow. The only place I could put the machine was directly across from my door, so I'd enter to cool air pushing towards me and couldn't get it to blow up or to the side.Quirks aside, I'm so happy I went with this one and look forward to taking it out again next summer!

First one we ordered came in a plain brown cardboard box and blew out hot air from the back into the room. We were in Amazon sent a new one and that worked well however, this box was a box from the manufacturer labeling and everything I believe I was sent a refurbished when I purchased new

Keeps my living room cool, but a bit tricky to place hose out window.

No bottom filter and I can’t remove the plastic piece so I’m stuck with all the dirt in the coils. I can’t get any of it out and the vacuum won’t fit in the slots. Gross. Not the same model they are portraying.

I am extremely dissapointed with this item. I can not believe this is being sold. This A/C unit is outrageously noise. There is no way anybody can be in the same room with this air conditioner while it is working. It is impossible to hear the TV, and even less possible to sleep with the A/C running at any speed. I don't know what to compare it with. I don't know how noisy an industrial fan can be to see if I can compare it with that . Pure torture. How can this be possible? How can a company do something like this?Not only is extremely noisy, but it never cools the room ( a less than 170 square feet room ) below 76°F. I tried the A/C at night, I set up the A/C temperature at 66°F, it was not hot outside, and the room temperature was 81°F. Under the easy conditions mentioned above, the A/C could not cool the room below 76°F after running for many hours. In the meantime, I was putting up with the tormentous noise. This is just unacceptable for a company that advertises a product with a temperature range of 63°F to 86°F.The thermostat never goes off, because it won't cool the room to the desired temperature. If the user then turns the A/C's temperature up to 76°F, the thermostat won't turn off either, because the room temperature will start to move up immediately.I can't believe this purchase turn out to be a gamble.I want to make it clear that I followed instructions correctly, and the unit was set up the way specified in the user manual. The set up is a no brainier.I never felt so bad after a purchase.If you like to gamble with high priced items, then purchase this A/C.If you don't like to gamble, then look to the many other models sold on Amazon.

A good unit to cool a room down but it is a bit loud. I have to turn it off during meetings and calls to clients.If you want a cool room with no need for quiet background, this will work for you.

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because it is loud! I'm not sure what other reviewers are talking about when they say it's not that loud. Having said that, it works VERY well. We use it in our bedroom, which is the hottest room in the house. Now we're able to keep the rest of the house at a reasonable temp while we cool off our room for the night. Also, there are supposedly two speeds: low and high, but they sound and feel the same. Not sure what that's about. I would recommend this, but be aware that it's loud.

When I purchased this I didn't realize we were going to be slammed by a major heat wave! Thankfully it came almost a week earlier than expected! I am so thankful because it has literally made my room tolerable during this unexpected heat wave. Right now, if you walk outside it's literally like walking into an oven. I absolutely love all the different settings like fan speed and the timer! Thank you so such for getting this sent out so fast!
