Was looking basically for a switch for my laser engraver protection cover that has an usb plug exhaust fan attached to it where you have to always plug it in and out. This worked perfect so I cord have all the cords hidden and turn the fan on and off. Seems like a solid and well made switch

I bought it use as a shutoff with an external hard drive to protect the data from snooping noses. Works perfect. Added Bit Locker password for security. When on the data passes back and forth from hard drive to external drive with no hang up or data lost.. Images, word doc's, etc. all work. The cord was just the right length.

Using this product so I can easily turn on and off some USB powered led audio spectrum meters for my computer.The device is super simple. The switch and cables are 40" long. It is 6" from the end of the female ending to the switch, switch is 2 inches long and the cord from the switch to male USB ending is 32".-Cords are sturdy and a nice length. Lets you not only make a USB device switchable but acts as a nice USB extension.-The switch has a nice feel to it and clicks on and off without any issues.-The price was reasonable.-Connections feel sturdy and they are not loose in where I feel the connection will become undone and not overly tight where I have to worry about damage to what is being plugged into the fittings.Note - This can be used with any USB device (data or power) that you wan to turn completely off. I am using this on a led light which the smallest amount of residual power will leave it flickering with no problems. Some examples of what would be ideal for the switch are LCD lights, USB jump drives, USB external drives, etc. If you are using a jump drive or external drive, this will make it so the pc does not detect it until such time you turn the switch back on.Tip - Use double-sided foam tape on the bottom of the switch and place where you want to use it.Would certainly recommend this and will update this review should this device have problems with ongoing use.

Fantastic device. I needed a way to easily switch my headset on and off durning work without unplugging it. This is perfect, well made and easy to use. I highly recommend it.

Works great. I got it for an LED light my husband has on the dash of our motorhome. Great to be able to turn it off and on.

I have an older Android Auto, requiring a hardline USB cable to connect my phone to the car audio (like a caveman). I purchased a wireless adapter to avoid needing to constanly jam a wire into my phone USB when driving. It works well, but frequently fails to pair fast enough during startup. This requires me to manually disconnect and reconnect the USB cable.....That is until now!This USB cable switch works just like a lightswitch on your USB. It allows data connections, but is super easy to click on and off without having to unplug the USB. I tried other switches, and they did not transmit data, so were worthless. This one works like it should, saving me aggrevation and saving wear and tear on my USB ports.
