ASICS Men's Gel-Nimbus 16 NYC Running Shoe

Excellent shoes. I run with these on the treadmill at Lifetime Fitness and they mitigate a lot of the shock my body takes by running. I'm really not a fan of running but since I want to compete in triathlons I must endure and if I must endure, these shoes make it tolerable.

This is like my 5th PR of Asics nimbus they are great shoes I've ran 5 marathons in them and done all my training using them. I tried a PR of Brooks and they were horrible for me compared to these. Oh I also backpacked the Superior Hiking Trail in apair last fall.

I have been almost exclusively a Nike (over 110 pairs) and Converse hi-top (in about 30 colors and styles) guy for years. But, in recent years, the combination of me getting older (and my flat feet maybe getting a little wider) and Nike seemingly narrowing their standard shoe width (and lately offering the worst and cheapest insoles in the industry) , I have been exploring other options and I'm pleased to say that ASICS has a lot to offer! The GEL-Noosa Tri running shoes are outstanding and offer an incredible ride; if you can find a pair of GEL-Noosa Tri 7 shoes - you gotta test me first and thank me later, but buy them! This purchase represents my first test of the Gel-Nimbus shoe, and I have been very pleased thus far. I'm a very brand loyal guy, and I never thought I would find myself wandering so far from Nike but, let's be honest, when you pay so much for athletic shoes, it's ridiculous that you have to immediately buy new insoles to place in them. I have bought shares of Nike over the years and it's a great stock but, if you're looking for a better athletic shoe, consider ASICS.

Before I bought this shoe I have done a research for best cushioned running shoe in the market . In most site they recommend this shoe . After I tried it . Its too heavy for your foot to carry and lift . I bought many running shoes and many brand names . Unfortunately ASICS was the worst . As a cushioned shoe it should give comfort and injury prevention , it gave me the opposite.In the first day of wearing them they gave me a knee and ankle problems .The upper is too cushioned that makes the shoe small inside . I recommend every one not to buy a really cushioned shoes and not too minimal shoe . Stay in between and DONT stick the brand . Try to buy a new brand if you want to buy new running shoe . I am still looking for the perfect running shoe.If there is a brand that some one else recommend please tell me . thank you

I ordered a 1/2 size bigger than I usually get and they are still quite tight.
