Akarden 20.5'' Tall Cat Scratching Post, Kitty Scratching Post with Hanging Ball, Durable Cat Scratcher Pole with Sisal Rope

My cat uses it all the time. This is his third one in 3 years.

I like the concept of this, being part rope, part carpet, and having the fluffy ball attached. It works fine for little kittens but is not good for anything bigger than that. When I bought this product, about a year ago, the package came with a paper that offered $20 if I left a 5-star review, so be wary when reading other reviews. Overall, very easy to put together, small in height so it’s not terribly unstuffy, and not a bad product for a cat that also has a heavy duty scratching post. I have kept this product because my cat likes to “hide” behind it sometimes for whatever reason.

Setup was really easy, took less than 5 minutes. It just entails screwing things together.My kitten was scratching the couch constantly, but now he loves using this instead (see pictures).The ball came off within a couple hours of me setting it up, but he still likes to play with the string, which seems more durable. He still plays with the ball even though it's not attached, so it's not like it's going to waste.This scratching post is a great value for the price, especially considering it's something intended for a cat to destroy over time.

Product was easy to assemble and very sturdy..the base was better than previously bought posts. Cat loves it.

My cats LOVE these! And they enjoy & use both different textures. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because they really need to be secured under a piece of furniture so they don't fall over, but that worked for me because I put them on the ends of my new couch. They use them all the time & my couch is saved! Will def order again

This is a great little scratching post - easy to move around and put in places you want kitty to sctach a post and not furniture. My cat loves it and it keeps him entertained. Yes, it does eventually fall apart (I am on my 2nd one) but we are talking about live cats wirh claws (lol) so I expect a scratching post to have a limited lifespan. Just shows me that my cat enjoys it a lot and helps keep him away from things I don't want him to claw.

I buy a couple of these every year and have no problems. You buy this for your cat... He tears it up... Then you buy another one after he destroys it. This is an inexpensive scratch post that serves it's purpose. I Don't understand the complaints and why anyone would spend more money on something that will be destroyed in a few months.Update: I have one cat. After less than a month, the sisal twine was completely tore off. I usually get about 3 months out of a scratch post. Need to find a new one that's all carpet and no twine.

We got a kitten over the holidays and Amazon came in clutch for all of her needs. This scratching post is perfect for her. It was SO simple to put together - took only a minute with no tools - and is not an eyesore. It's a little shorter than I anticipated but perfect for her size. We would definitely buy again!
