The Balancing Act (Go-for-Gold Gymnasts, The Book 2)

My daughter loved Balancing Act and Winning Team so much that she read them both in a few days and is now devouring Unexpected Twist. I was not swayed by naysayers whose reviews found too little of this or that. The culture of girls' gymnastics and the love of the sport itself was enough to make my daughter, once a reluctant reader, into an avid reader. Hmm, as a teacher for many years, I know this is the affective outcome we all want for our children: to love reading. My daughter was very bored with reading, despite her superior language and reading skills. What is most important to her is that the content reflect a world she wants to be a part of. As a former gymnast myself, I love reading along with her on our Kindle HDX. The Kindle HDX is dynamic (push to find vocabulary definitions) and alluring enough to draw her in daily.

Daughter loves all the gymnastics stories in this series. Has the set and reads the books over and over. Loves them.

Balancing act is a story about not just only a little gymnast, but sends a message to everyone. It is not directly to gymnastics, but to everyone who works hard to exceed a dream. Never give up on something you love.

Our daughter is 10 years old and in gymnastics. I had a difficult time finding books she would enjoy from beginning to finish and before this series she would never finish a book..so happy she loves these series! Now I just need to find more series like this for her.

My daughter wanted it because she loves gymnastics. She read it in a week and seemed to enjoy three read.

Was a gift for my 10 yr. old granddaughter, who loves gymnastic and Gabrielle Douglas. The book is about Gabrielle life from her first desire in gymnastics to winning the gold. My granddaughter really enjoyed this book.

I have never purchased a used book this bad. I understand small tears, bent pages and ink marks. This cover is ripped 1/2 off. Definitely not worth $10

The book is a good read for schoolkids interested in gymnastics.

Not read yet but the book looks good and sure young gymnasts will love it. My book arrived with the front and back cover damaged which did spoil it slightly as it was a gift.

I THOUGHT THIS WAS ABOUT HER LIFE..ITS JUST A MADE UP STORY..
