Great feel and super sharp. They just are nice to use. Great choice for a fancier knife.

These are great steak knives and wonderfully sharp out of the box. Time will tell how long they stay sharp and how easy it will be to keep them sharp. I've used them on a variety of foods and they performed flawlessly. They live in my travel trailer so I will need to purchase more for my home as well.

These knives are top quality and very sharp, I think they are expensive, but you get want you pay for, and at this price you would expect that you are getting quality, Well they will not disappoint you. I highly recommend.

We did a little at-home testing between these knives, some "typical" steak knives that you might buy at a big-box store, and a set of Calaphon Katana knives. There is no comparison--the Zwilling Pros are significantly better. They cut smoothly and have great balance; very solid in the hand. No need for a serrated edge! They are also much more expensive than the other options. I had hoped for more from the Katanas with their blended design and cool look, but they were not a close second, coming in nearer to the big-box option than the Zwillings. The Zwillings have elegant clean lines, are easy to clean, and appear to be perfectly crafted to perform their intended function. Truly impressive implements, if you want to spend the $$$. ****UPDATE a year later. We have been using these knives for the past year and continue to be impressed. I am keeping them in a wood block and have a sharpener, but I have not had to use it yet. We eat a meal where we can use these knives a couple of times a month, and they have been consistently good.

I was hesitant to pay $50 per knife but decided it was necessary. You definitely can tell the difference between Henckles we had previously and these. Zwilling made in Germany vs Henckles made in China. The Henckles tarnished quickly. There is one Zwilling that started tarnishing and the tip barely bent dropping in the sink and left overnight I assume. Normally all are washed and dried by hand.

I cringed a bit buying 8 of these steak knives because of the price. But, these knives are nothing short of awesome! They are super sharp and glide right through anything. We bought these as lifetime knives and never plan to replace them. We replaced our old serrated steak knives and glad we did. These work so much nicer with the sharp straight blade. We bought other Zwilling Pro kitchen knives too, including the 8" chef knife, 4" pairing knife, and 5.5" knife. Zwilling Pro is all I am ever buying in the future.
