Herschel Retreat Backpack, Night Camo, Classic 19.5L

Love it but the color of the lavender gray is really just gray while it looks a little purple on the pictures.

The quality of this bag is amazing! Very durable and great interior

I like it. Straight to the point. Used it on my trip to WA. It fit my carry on stuff and fit under the airplane seat. No disappointment so far.

Nothing was wrong with the bag. Didn't realize that the straps are a plastic material rather than leather straps that we've had on other backpacks from Herschel. Good condition and size.

Bottom Line: This backpack is exactly what it claims to be.1. I can’t fit a lot of stuff inside. I know there were some reviews about the lack of space but I honestly don’t understand how. I added a picture of some stuff I wanted to fit in on my first try and there was plenty of room after that. I can carry my laptop and daily stuff and a jacket and my coffee mug and my water bottle/jug and still have room. So much room.2. It is not hard to locate your stuff. Seriously I’m not especially organized and I can reach in there and find whatever I’m looking for quickly. If you need your wallet often put it on top or spend literally 15 seconds looking for it.3. The front pocket is not useless. I put some cheap sunglasses and my car keys in there. Haven’t lost any of that. For my important small stuff I have a little pouch I got with my laptop sleeve I stick in there.4. I added a picture of the new/not fully loaded backpack on my back. I’m 5’ 2 and a little chubby but it fits fine. It’s taller rather then fatter so it feels and looks a little different on the back.5. Not quite rain resistant. I’ve walked through some rain and it has gotten wet but not soaked. Stuff ok on the inside though. I wouldn’t walk through a rain shower with it.6. Drawstring with flap is nice and a little bit more difficult for pickpockets. Good quality.7. If your package doesn’t quite look like mine you’ve likely gotten an imitator or knock-off. I’m pretty sure I didn’t have that issue based on the tags and bag and emblem all being present and looking correct. Buy from amazon directly if you can.

This is a great looking backpack and seems to be solidly built and very durable. My biggest complaint is that there are NO internal compartments or pockets for storing your belongings. There's the laptop sleeve and then it's just a big abyss of a bag- no pockets in the lining, not even a pocket in the upper flap. It's great for cc carrying the laptop but the rest of my stuff (water bottle, coffee cup, chapstick, headphones, wallet) is just thrown into the disorganized mess of the main compartment. If I hadn't gotten a good deal on it through Warehouse deals I would have sent back. But for the price I paid, I can give it to my tween daughter who is pining for it anyway. It's not for me, I need a bag that can help me organize.

Was great i ordered the bigger size and it fits well and doesnt look too big on my back, fits alot especially my college stuff like laptop and notebooks, also good for my med Equipments for class like Stethoscopes and Pulse Ox

En 2012 me regalaron una Retreat de 19.5, la usé diario durante unos 5 o 6 años para ir a la escuela y el trabajo. Sigue en condiciones excelentes, y la sigo usando seguido para viajar ahora que trabajé desde la casa. Sólo decidí reemplazarla porque apenas después de tanto uso rudo se le está cayendo la piel sintética de las correas, o sea por puro capricho porque jamás se ha roto, descosido, ni despintado. Al final opté por la de 14 porque para el trabajo no necesito tanto espacio pero la de 19.5 Ha sido la mejor mochila que he tenido porque tiene el espacio perfecto para muchas cosas. Sea de 14 o de 19.5 el diseño, aparte de ser practico y versátil, es muy estetico. Este es el tipo de producto que debes comprar si buscas algo súper duradero y de calidad que nunca te va a fallar.

Está muy linda y amplia, los materiales se ven de muy buena calidad, solo que los imanes para para cerrar la mochila se desprenden con facilidad, supongo yo que tiene que ver con que están pintados, pero ese fue el detalle que le vi, si es muy latoso estar cerrando la mochila a cada rato, pero está muy bonita

Great backpack. Have it in 2 colours. Works perfect as a carry on.

El producto se nota de calidad, es muy bonita, en el espacio para computadora cabe perfectamente una Mac de 15”. Me gustaría que tuviera otros compartimentos interiores pero es cosa aparte.
