DeltaDisposable Bottom Bags

Arrived on time and was a perfect match for my machine. Bags do not have the loops for the belt that buckles around them as the original bags did. However they do fit well and work fine.

These bags are absolutely horrible. First problem was minor, but there are no loops for the locking band to help install the bag. Ok, I can workbaround that.Next, these are 2 mil, so they are fragile. If you just look at them wrong, they tear or puncture.The final straw, the last one I installed wasn’t seam welded on the bottom. Dust blows right out!Don’t waste your money!!!

This dust collector is a good compromise between small footprint, and good flow capacity. It fits in an out-of-the way spot on the opposite side of my car in my shop/garage, and I have plumbed across the shop to a manifold with blast gates.One drop is for a 2 1/2" dust-rite expandable hose which stores in a magnetic rack directly behind my drill press; another is to a 4" port which splits into two 4" port for my router table and table saw; the final is a another is a 4" port attached to a dust rite 3'-21' expandable hose, which also stores on a magnetic rack, and which I can drag to my planer, or my jointer or my bandsaw.This setup translates into a four-way manifold controlled by four blast gates. The Delta dust collector does a decent job of collecting dust and chips from even its furthest distance (about 35').There are better dust collectors but they are too large, and much more expensive. This one has decent performance, and is one of the few which will fit in the space allowed, and the price is right.I've been giving this product medium to heavy (for a one-man hobbits) use for nearly three years and it still works fine.

I'm using the 2nd box of these that I've ever bought. I need more now but I'm looking for alternatives. Why? Because these bags are only 2 mil and have been splitting open frequently. In fact, they open so often that the situation is driving me to look elsewhere. For alternative bags or even an entirely different dust collection system. I'd love to have a full metal system like the Laguna cyclone, but the money for that isn't in the cards right now. I'll continue to use these only until I find an alternate made of heavier plastic. Which hopefully won't split open like these poor quality bags.

This is my second purchase of these bags and they fit the machine perfectly, with no leaks and no dust escaping. All I needed to do was to use a small piece of masking tap to hold the bag temporary while fitting the bag to the machine. I had tried going cheap by using garbage bags purchased from Walmart, but they were too big and couldn't hold the air pressure without leaks. I decided to go back to the Delta bags even-though they are a bit pricey but they are well worth it.

The Delta Industrial 50-721 plastic bottom bags do fit the AP400, as indicated on the Delta Industrial website.However, I don't believe they seal as well as they should. I'll probably have to put a thin, soft rubber seal around the edge to get a better seal.They are fairly easy to install if one uses small pieces of masking tape to hold the bag up while installing the band clamp. Note: One notch on the clamp is to tight to allow closing of the clamp and the next notch allows the clamp to close to easily, thus leading me to the conclusion that it's not sealing as well as it should.Update: The soft rubber seal ended up not being a good solution. Instead, I added a 3/4 inch wide strip of painters tape, all the way around where the clamp needs to make a seal, before installing the plastic bag and it seems to be working just fine now.

Purchased these per Delta Customer Service for a Delta 50-723T2 Dust Collector. Original bags no longer available, these are supposed to be compatible...per Delta.Dislike:Bags are too large in diameter and length, no problem, fold bag over and hold in place with clamp.Bags leak around clamp and thru bottom seam.Bags are weak, have split at bottom on two bags so far, dust all over garage, not happy.Likes:Price is okay if you overlook the quality.Will look for better bags...
