The educational games and operating system are great and really geared to the toddler as learner
The educational games and operating system are great and really geared to the toddler as learner. Keeps a quick pace and my intense grandson involved. Just be aware that many Nabis have problems with the charging port. The first Nabi worked very well, with the battery holding for at least 4 hours of use before recharging. Then, about month 6-7, it went dead - would not recharge. I contacted Nabi care group and after sending copy of invoice, they replaced. Good Amazon tip: all of your invoices and receipts are filed on Amazon so you won't have trouble finding your proof of purchase for warranty issues! Now, the second Nabi lasted for about 4 days and went dead again! We contacted Nabi again and this time a different rep took about two to three months to get us a new one but did. The new one has been used for about a month. I have no idea how long this one will last but, the superiority of the programming and how toddler oriented the learning is, has made it worth going through several irritating hoops.Let's hope Nabi corrects the charging port problem because this content design is a real winner! Wish I could give it 5, but really-get the hardware up to the level of the programming!

Decent tablet, but take note of 2 issues I wish I'd known......
I do have mixed feeling about this device, but overall it does provide my child with educational games that are entertaining and keeps her busy and engaged.**BEWARE OF TWO ISSUES**1)The deciding factor of purchasing this device was the display I saw at Target. After seeing my 3 1/2 year old's favorite TV show ("Bubble Guppies") used as games. It taught numbers, colors, and shapes. I was more than impressed. I have two "Bubble Guppies" games on my tablet, so giving her one for Christmas would be more than ideal. On Christmas morning, I couldn't find any "Bubble Guppies" or other Nick Jr. shows that she could use as games on the tablet. Other Nick Jr. shows include "Team Umizooomi", "Dora", etc. I had to do some serious research when it came to finding these Apps. When I finally found it, I was stunned. You have to purchase the "package" from Nick Jr. THE PRICE OF THE PACKAGE IS AN ESTIMATE OF $139!! That's absolutely rediculous, yet typical of Nick Jr. They don't allow any purchases of any of their licensed product except through them directly. I am used that, but that amount they wanted for a few Apps for my toddler was more than I paid for the tablet alone. Unless you're willing to pay an additional $139+ for a Nick Jr. package of Apps, then don't expect to use it. My toddler uses the tablet just fine with the Apps that are included. She's learning numbers, shapes, colors, counting, etc. She has more than enough games and is perfectly happy with that.2) The battery life will be at 50% or less when you purchase it. I recommend putting it on the charger for a MINIMUM of 12 hours prior to use. If you don't charge it fully the first time around, the device will have a major problem holding a charge. It does anyway, and of course it becomes much harder when a toddler because they do not understand the concept of power saving (aka turning off the device when they aren't using it, resulting in wasted power and less battery time). The instructions do clearly state how to properly charge it.So far, I do enjoy the product....my daughter also loves the tablet. She often ignores other presents so she can play with her tablet. She loves it. Because she does, I can overlook both the issue of battery power and the fact that Nick Jr wants to charge way too much for additional Apps. If she really wants to play Nick Jr games, she can use my App on my Tablet.

Not what I expected
Ordered 2 of these for my niece and nephew for the holidays. The kids are 8 and 9. While they like the tablets, they don't love them. It is hard for them to download apps (had to install the Amazon app store in order to get some of the games the kids wanted), and they must take the tablet to Mom to get the apps "approved". While this might be great for a younger child, say 4ish, it doesn't work great for 2 tech savy kids. The pre installed games and activities are geared for very young kids, such as learning to write numbers and letters and singing the ABC's. Had I known a bit more about these tablets, I would have opted for a cheaper Android style tablet for older kids. Would be great for kids that are preschool age though!

Great Learning Booster
We brought this for my daughter to help her with comprehension and concepts. My husband and I are very pleased with the growth in her learning since we added the Nabi Jr. to her learning curriculum. Before the Nabi Jr., my daughter would get frustrated with understanding and writing her letters in order. She was on reading level for Kindergarten but just barely; after using the Nabi Jr., we seen a major improvement in her comprehension and concepts of learning. Our daughter is even excelling in school and is reading above her grade level. Great investment and it grows with your child. Nabi Jr. has some very awesome parental features as well! I would recommend this product for pre-school to Kindergarten age.

Nabi products rock!
This Nabi is PERFECT for kids! I bought it for my grandson at almost age 1, and he has used it most around 16 months to now (2 years) It's easy to operate, easy to understand. Love that the camera rotates. And the bumper is AWESOME! My grandson threw this across a doctors office/tile floor, and all it did was open the case. It didn't crack, didn't even really budge.I will absolutely be buying more Nabi products in the future, and I would 100% recommend this to anyone.

Its awesome for learning
I like that my 2 1/2 year old nephew is playing games and learning but everytime he touches the screen or drags in the games the settings pop up or he accidently clicks something and he has to constantly bring it back for us to get him back into the game. I was messing with it and it did the same thing to me too. I wish you could freeze the settings or something when in game mode (if there were such a mode lol)...its super annoying.
