4 Spools Color Changing in the Sun Embroidery Machine Thread

There is a happy ending.... My original review of this product was a disappointment. The product did not live up to my expectations from the moment of opening the shipping package to the first attempt to use it a few weeks later. When I rated the product poorly, I was almost immediately contacted by the company with sincere apologies and a desire to make this purchase right.The next day, they shipped a superior product to me. The packaging and spools were definitely new and in excellent condition. I used the thread today and there was no breakage. The colors changed in the sun as advertised, although, they still were not pre-labeled with the color they would change into when solar activated, but that was simple enough to label the spool with a sharpie maker.I am most impressed with the quick resolution of a disappointment and will definitely order from this company again.I gave this seller a 4 star rating only because of the original disappointment (rated 1 star).Thank you to C&C Manufacturing.

I was hesitant about that product. Especially when it arrived. I opened the box and under regular light nothing happened. But when I stepped outside into the sun the thread immediately changed into vibrant colors. I am new to embroidery and I found the thread to be ok to work with. It didn't break or anything else. I embroidered a sippy cup for my toddler and took the result to the sewing center I took lessons from. They had never seen such a thread and were totally amazed especially when they took my work outside into the sun.In that picture shown in this offer it's not really visible but one of the colors is bright blue and one is light purple. And just for good measures I will order at least two more packages right away since it makes people really speechless. ;-)

The threads are very interesting~ But, without having to create a design to see the color changes it would be helpful to have this notated on the spools. There are no distinguishing marks on the spools to say what the color will be when seen in the sun.And, considering the size of the spool, it would be nice to know that "A" spool becomes "yellow", "B" spool becomes "green", etc.Please help us embroiderer's out with a color scheme!Thanks,Melissa G Szarszewski

I tried using this thread for embroidery, it breaks very easily. I'm not sure if it is because the thread is old (seemed to be and the plastic packaging on it was britle). Not such a good buy for my uses which is embroidery. I haven't seen the results of the thread in the sun yet either so I cannot comment to that aspect of it.

This is solar thread. It does what it says. I think I will just stick to machine embroidery thread. Radiant threads is a good place to purchase different items.

What I want to know? Do I have to take it outside to see what colors they create. There is nothing on the spool to indicate. They all are the same.

I was excited when I purchased this set however upon using this thread I found the quality to be terrible. Every time I put in my sewing machine it would just fray and break. You get what you pay for. Disappointed with this product. The upside though, it does change colors but minimal.

These were VERY disappointing, the color change is really not noticeable and the thread snaps extremely easily.
