Helps Plantar Fasciitis (double better than single)
I have plantar fasciitis in both feet, and this is the item that helps me most. I first isednin at physical therapy, and was so happy when I found out I could get my own. I can go from not being able to walk, to walking normally in a matter of minutes. I need to stretch first thing in the morning, so I can use this in the kitchen while I am making tea. It only takes a few minutes. There are other stretches you can do without equipment, but I donโt like doing them. I like using this which means I will do it more often. This is the easiest and quickest. The double was more expensive, but well worth it. I hesitated a long time on spending the money on it, but as soon as I got it, I was ecstatic! I felt I got a better stretch immediately. I have a single prostretch which I also love, but the double is better. Perhaps itโs more stable and I stand differently on a double. I am very adept on the single, but maybe I relax differently on this. It also saves time in that I can do both calves at same time. I asked my physical therapist the recommended time to stretch. She told me 30 second hold time. She further explained that they have done studies on holding for 20 seconds and 40 seconds, but 30 seconds is the optimal time for holding any stretch. No more, no less. I looked in the booklet that came with the stretcher and it also says 30 seconds, so I use my iPhone timer and just keep resetting in for every stretch to make sure I get the optimal time. You can use other stretching means, but standing and allowing your heel to drop gradually with your weight behind it is just easier to me than using a yoga strap or stretching against a wall. I donโt have to use any other body part. I work on an airplane, and I carry the single in my travel bag. I can stretch standing up so I donโt need any space at all to do it. I can stretch while waiting in an airport. When I am home, I bring it in my car and stretch at the dog park while my dog is running around, or anytime I have to wait somewhere. I need to stretch throughout the day, so I try to incorporate it into things. I really love this thing!

Worked perfectly as part of a PT program for Achilles Tendonitis
I purchased the ProStretch because I have (had) severe achilles tendonitis in both legs. I had been suffering from achilles pain for over a year and tried everything short of physical therapy to no avail. After consulting an orthopedic specialist and physical therapist I began a two-month physical therapy program. At the PT office, I used a calf stretching system and the therapist recommended a ProStretch for use at home. I purchased the ProStretch from Amazon and started using it within 2 days of my first therapy session. Admittedly, I did experience a lot of soreness at first, but as time went on, I was able to stretch further and further. When I started therapy, I only had about 4 degrees of movement in both ankles . . . after a few weeks, I was at 15 degrees. The ProStretch IN ADDITION TO the other physical therapy I received all helped to restore normal flexibility and helped to alleviate pain. Granted, I don't want to imply that the ProStretch alone is responsible, because I'm doing a lot of other stretches and exercises, but I will say that it has been great for helping to stretch my calves and restoring flexibility to my ankle area. A few quick things to note: It doesn't come with any instructions, but it's pretty intuitive - just make sure to balance yourself against something pretty substantial at first because until you get used to it, you can be a little wobbly. Also, make sure to wear some kind of footwear when you're on it. The heel plates are great for making sure your feet don't slide off of the back, but if you try it without shoes, the heel plates can be pretty uncomfortable on your feet. Overall, I love the ProStretch and would recommend it to anybody who needs to stretch their lower legs. I'll be using one of these the rest of my life to hopefully maintain the flexibility my PT and I have worked so hard to regain. Definitely a purchase that was well-worth every penny.

Great stretching equipment for reasonable price
I used one of these Pro-stretch bi-lateral devices at my physical therapy location. It was a great way to stretch before and after using other equipment. However, I was able to hold onto a rail when mounting/dismounting. So - just a word of caution - before purchasing this for home use, make sure you have a rail, bar... something sturdy to hold onto while using and mounting/dismounting. I do not have anything like this is my apartment and have had to place my hands on a wall while using, and I am VERY careful when mounting/dismounting. The actual device is very good and reasonably priced!

Best calf stretcher (double or single). More effective than a slant board.
The best calf stretcher. I use it every night without fail. It has made a big difference to me. Some people have trouble with balance and stability with the double calf stretcher. If so, you might want to try the single calf stretcher and work one calf at a time. I love the double one. You may be able to try one at PT while you hold on, like I did, so I knew it would work well for me. It stretches more effectively than a slant board because you can go to the exact angle that works for you.

Everyone with plantar fascitis needs this thing!
Just got it. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! I've had plantar fascitis (PF) since I started running sprints a couple years ago, but didn't realize that I had an actual "condition". I just knew my calves were tight, my heels hurt so that it made me limp (esp. when I woke up in the a.m.), and the bottoms of my feet always seemed to be begging for a massage. I only realized I had "plantar fascitis" from reading some Amazon reviews on these stretching devices, and then doing a little research. Too bad Amazon doesn't allow emojis in their reviews...I deserve an eyeroll or smh for that. Maybe I didn't worry about or investigate the pain and limping because it was always very amenable to stretching. If I keep up with my stretching, especially my calves, I go back to normal. No foot symptoms. At least until stuff tightens up real good again. Biggest problem with stretching my calves is I go barefoot or wear flip-flops a lot. Calf stretching is more difficult without rubber-soled shoes that encase the feet...feet slip on all man-made surfaces or off of flip-flops. So I either had to put shoes on to stretch (which is inconvenient to do several times per day), use a towel instead of my long-lost stretch strap (towels are clunky), or skip regular calf stretching (which is what I usually did). I bought this thing on a whim, from a suggestion Amazon made when I finally decided to replace the stretch strap. Oh, and after I figured out from the reviews that I had PF. My short review: best Christmas present I ever bought myself, hands down. It's perfect for my average 8.5-sized woman's foot, and I don't need to wear shoes to use it. I can hop on anytime. The stretch is very, very effective. Even better than using a strap. I have no doubt that the excellent stretch combined with the convenience will help keep me PF-free. I got the double but am now about to buy a single for when I travel. Highly recommend to anyone who stretches, but especially those plagued with PF!

Love it
I have been suffering with tight calves and knee pain, left leg,for some time.Had physio, etc, etc.,and noticed that when I stretched my affected leg backwards and as straight as I could without pain,my leg felt eased. On the basis of this, saw this item and decided to buy.On my very first time, gingerly carrying out the exercises that come in a pamphlet with the item,I noticed an almost immediate feeling of relief from the "tightness".I don't do the advanced exercise yet, slowly, slowly, but even walking up and down stairs is easier,no pain,no stiffness.I am so pleased I bought this and will continue with the exercises which take less than around half an hour daily.Very easy to use, well constructed, and has helped me enormously with my overall movement in practically no time. It's very effective and helped me so much.Definitely recommend.
