This book was recommended reading by my criminal law lecturer. I have used books from the Directions series in the past for contract and public law so I was confident this book will make a clear reference tool to have . Very well organised, gradually introduces the student to very complex legal terms and theory. Written in plain English. Case summaries are clear and straight to the point unlike other books on the subject which can be sometimes pompous . I'm now using Directions books for all legal topics. Can't recommend them enough. Thank you.
