I changed my review from 1 star to 5 stars and here are he reasons:1st I received a faulty item (returned) I had given up on the idea of even purchasing anything else like it.2nd. I was contacted via email by the company with an apology which I thought it was great that they cared so much about my opinion and experience with the product.3rd. I was offered the opportunity to accept a new item or a similar item at no cost to me.4th. Item was delivered quickly5th all stars are well earned due to the fact that the item worked excellently and the company’s Costumer service is amazing.Again... thank you!

I am using this to control the lights and power supply for my new 3D printer. For my last printer, I used solid state relays controlled directly by my Raspberry Pi running Octoprint but wasn't 100% satisfied that there weren't occasional glitches...Because I run a bit of an IoT house, I have a Raspberry Pi running an MQTT broker and Node Red to handle lights and vacations and publishing a weather abstract to my personal website. The WP9 appealed to me because each of the outlets was individually controllable, as was the set of (3A!) USB ports. It is listed as a supported device on the Tasmota website, so I was confident I could bend it to my will without too much trouble. Sure enough, Tuya Convert worked it's voodoo and I was able to reprogram the WP9 to be controllable over MQTT from my RPi broker. I was able to make the USB power be independent of the the pushbutton (they are now always on), because they are sufficiently powerful to power the Raspberry Pi which runs my printer (don't want them randomly resetting). I can reprogram the button to turn on one of the outlets (the one with the lights) via Node Red. I can also use Node Red to monitor the progress of the print and turn the printer power off (shhhh, quiet) 20s after the print is done and the lights over the printer 20 minutes later. It's like magic, but it's not. As the immortal Arthur C. Clarke once said: Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. I like it so much that I will buy another for my other printer.Good: Using the Open-Source work of hundreds of people far cleverer than I, you can take control of this device and make it do what you want without routing your on/off requests through Alexa, Google or a server in China.Bad: Cannot think of a single negative.

Please excuse the wires in my photo, I just had to show how I use this for everything! It’s amazing not only for it’s seamless integration with Alexa, but for it’s ease of use! Simply tell Alexa to turn off whichever switch you are done using and it’s automatic. No delays! This is perfect for a college student on a budget. When my phone is done charging just tell Alexa, when my computer is done charging.. tell Alexa! If I forget to turn of my humidifier while I’m walking out the door, just tell Alexa!! An amazing opportunity to save on your electricity bill and be more eco friendly with your power usage.

I almost gave up during set-up, until......I read through some of the reviews and saw that one commenter mentioned that the blinking of the indicator light is so dim you have to darken room to see it. Aha! I pulled down the shades and closed the curtain and --- voila! Now that little pale blue light was blinking. Also I assumed that the indicator light would be red in color --- perhaps because the other smaller lights by each outlet were red. Anyway, once I could see the blue light blinking at the prescribed rate, the actual set-up was easy peasey and the power strip works as expected. I am particularly impressed by the small square shape of the device itself. It fits exactly where I had hoped to use it. Good buy!

Just like a couple Gosund smart plugs I ordered afterwards this would not connect to Smart Life app in every mode I tried. AP mode, scan and manual mode failed. I have 3 other Gosund plugs that work fine. I even removed the device from my apps and they reconnected perfectly. I assume Gosund sent some out with a poor firmware issue. I won't buy more Gosund products they wasted two weeks and I have party to prepare for.Update: Oct 20thSeller Tan Tan Direct sent me a replacement and it works perfectly. Used Smart Life with autoscan and connected right up this time. Alexa recognizes the entire strip, then separately each of the 3 plugs and the USB as one device. I appreciate the attention to my problem Tan Tan and helping me solve it. Would buy fron this seller again as well as buy Gosund again. Thanks alot!

I mean wow my life has become a little easier! I'm able to set time to turn off things I always forget to turn off. I'm also able to schedule turn on and turn off equipment and house lights. I honestly wish I had this years ago could have saved light money on things I keep forgetting to turn off while away lolthe connection was a little confusing but after close to an hour figuring out how to connect it turns out that my connection (internet/wifi) didn't work for this device so I had to go with their second option given in the instructions and that one worked great. (I'm unable to use wifi but was able to use a "hot spot" option) so maybe try both before giving up and giving a bad review.one day I used a heavy device that overheats it and it automatic shut down, I panicked and thought it broke. I waited to cool off than clicked the side button and it started to function normally, thank god! because I couldn't live without it now lol but seriously I love this device and I'm planning to buy few more for my brother and sister on their birthday next year :)I haven't had an issue with the app nor with the device lately once I do I'll update. so far I had it for about two months now. Works with my Alexa device (echo 2018 version). I'm able to set commands such as Goodnight and turns off all my lights and puts devices to sleep mode and so on.even using the "hot spot" connection it works fine from where ever I am, this December I will be out of the country and will def test out how well it works while I'm out of the USA.the packaging was fine and delivery was fast as well.
