It’s exactly what you’re looking for
28-29” waist and it fit fine with some room to go even smaller. It fit my keys, iPhone XR (with case), cash/cards, and two gems just fine. It didn’t bounce at all while running.Deducting one star because it felt heavy - which I think is just an inherent function of having 16oz of water on you. Probably will never use it for running again but might use it for cycling for that reason. I just don’t think a hydration belt is a great tool for me. If I was a bigger guy (I’m 145lbs), I might not have noticed it.

The belt has bounce.
I’m getting into long distance running and wanted some water and a gel to bring along with me, so I settled on this belt for the price and relatively solid reviews. One review caught my attention that the water bottles were attached to the main harness/belt by bungee – like material and there’s bounce. I thought that would be a problem, but figured I could solve it by adding zip-ties to prevent bounce. However, even with the zip ties, there’s bounce, not a substantial amount, but there’s bounce. The bounce is minimized if I cinch the belt really tight and keep the belt in contact with my skin versus running shorts. The fence is further minimized if you carry one water bottle over two. It’s a very comfortable design without the water bottles. Add the water bottles, and just know that there’s gonna be some bounce and you’ll have to cinch the belt tight and add a few zip ties, perhaps. The buckle and belt are good material and the pouch fits the things you need, cell phone, etc. Good product, but could be even better with a few design shifts.

Great on the go
I wish they made waistbands a bit smaller, but it’s manageable at a size 28 waist.Big fan of the separate zip and Velcro pockets. Zip for phone and card security, Velcro for quick access to gels and cards.I’ve had both insulated and non insulated bottles, I prefer the non. I didn’t notice that the insulation held too well in the heat and against a hot body, and the non insulated bottles are just lighter.

Not suited for small waisted people -- otherwise a great product
I have used the Nathan Speed belt which has a smaller pouch that will not hold a phone for years. After years of use the elastic that holds the water bottles finally deteriorated and I wanted to find a product that would carry a phone for safety. I have a Garmin and am not a fan of the Apple Watch for running so finding a way to comfortably carry a phone for 20 mile training runs is important to me. Now that Nathan has a belt that will accommodate a phone, I bought this hoping it would work for me. I have a 26 inch waist and 38 inch hips. Belts will not stay on my hips and I have to wear them around my waist. Unfortunately this belt just fits when it is pulled to the tightest setting. I thoroughly wash the belt with technical cleaner and water after each run to help prevent the breakdown of the fibers from body sweat. Unfortunately on runs lasing more than 90 minutes the sweat causes the belt to loosen and it begins moving and twisting on my body and I simply can not get the belt tight enough to remain in place and I chaffed pretty badly even with the use of anti chafing products. The Nathan Speed Belt came in XS which fit down to a 24 inch waist and I was able to tighten it on longer runs and it remained in place but will not accommodate a phone. I guess I will have to go back and find the Nathan Speed belt in an XS and wear my phone in an arm case during the summer when it's too hot to wear tights with phone pockets. This is a nice running belt and I would recommend it if you are able to wear it on your hips without it riding up or if your waist is at least 28 inches or larger. Fits waist sizes 26 - 40 is a bit miss leading. It will fit a 26 inch waist when it is dry but not when it's been soaked by sweat. I know -- gross, but reality for 90 minute or longer runs.

Nice option
This is my 3rd Nathan belt, first one has worn out after a few thousand miles and the holders for the water bottles were not reliable. The second is going strong still, but this one is better for holding the phone I carry these days along with a good run's nutrition when the vest is not needed or just too hot. Great products.

Belt Good, Bottles Not
I recently started running/jogging in preparation for my first triathlon. I got this for longer runs because I was familiar with the Nathan brand.I like the belt itself, but the water bottles are lame. Very leaky when you try to drink. I estimate 1/3 of the drink leaks all over where the top screws onto the bottle. Both have the same issue so bad design. If I rated the belt and bottom separately, belt gets 4, bottle gets a negative (-) 4. I am trying to find different bottles that will fit the belt.

Comfortable and great fit
Perfect fit. Doesn’t ride up. Stays put. Highly recommend for longer runs

Good For About One Year
i've been a runner for 20+ years and run almost every other day. i have a pretty good handle on good gear. for the most part, if something lasts me 1 year, it's about right; shoes, belts, lights, etc.this super-cool looking water bottle belt by Nathan lasted me about one year exactly until one of the neon straps holding the water bottle to the belt snapped this week. (i see others have posted pictures of the same problem here in the reviews.)for a $20 belt that's 5 stars in my book. but this was a $50 belt. it shouldn't break after a year. sticking to my rule, this equipment is good enough. 3 stars. still overpriced though.

Water bottle carrier broke day 1
I've used this in the past and its been ok, however i bough a brand new one for an ironman event, when about 10km into the run the plastic carrier snapped leaving me with one bottle for the remaining 32.2km.. i was not happy.
