Good machine, poor documentation.
Good guillotine but the "manual" is four pages of pictures. A decent schematic would have been helpful as I found myself with a bag of screws and had to do some detective work to find what they were for. The included paperwork should at least show dimensions and anchor points (DIY stand?) instead of a view of Hong Kong. That said, the machine is sturdy, gives a good cut without brute-strength effort, and is easy to set up and use. Happy with my purchase but please provide a proper manual.

Excellent guillotine!
It works really well, cuts through paper like there's nothing there. This is a true guillotine, and not like the bypass (scissor-action) cutters that you can buy from a stationery store. The incredibly sharp steel blade looks like it's susceptible to rusting, so I always put plenty of oil on both sides and wipe the excess. Also, if like me, you feel the arm is too stiff just oil all the joints (I use a silicone grease that doesn't run off easily). Not sure where to get replacement blades but if and when it gets dull I will have it professionally sharpened. Overall it looks very solid and does the job of 6-7 times more expensive manual guillotines, I'm surprised that the makers don't market it with a trade name. Be warned that this guillotine is very heavy. It weighs about 3 st 8 lbs (nearly 23 kg).

Excellent Product at an excellent price.
I've bought a lot from Amazon over the years but this is the first time I've felt I wanted to write a review. I ordered this on a Sunday and it arrived by Parcel Force 2 days later, well packaged. I was unsure buying an unfamiliar name but was convinced by a couple of videos on YouTube and have certainly not been disappointed - this unit is excellent. It trimmed a 300 page booklet like a knife through butter! It is big and heavy so you'll need a solid surface to work on, but is extremely solidly built with high quality materials and I expect it to last a very long time. If you have the space, buy one - you'll not regret it.

Astoundingly good value for a solidly-built
Astoundingly good value for a solidly-built, easy to use machine. Works perfectly, as described, but I've been left with a small bag of screws and nothing in the manual to explajn what they are for. Nevertheless, the guillotine works faultlessly.

Excellent.
Excellent product and delivery service. If you're a professional book maker/require a reliable device to repeatedly cut paper stacks up to 3.6 cm deep, and possibly even a few more pages, I honestly can't fault it. It's perfect. Simply slide the push-fit handle/lever bar onto the guilloutine crank and it's practically ready to go straight out the box; from date of purchase to cutting my first text block - three days! It is heavy but then that's reasonably necessary for the job it does very well. It's a simple design, uses heavy gauge materials, robust construction and comes with a two-year guarantee (according to the ticket in the box). The cutting action is super smooth, precise and requires very little pressure to draw down the lever. The lever has a spring-activated safety catch that locks into place when the guillotine's lever is upright. The fly handle clamp keeps all the papers/signatures tightly together and is as easy to use as the adjustable fence and clearly marked measurements on the base. It has a fairly low profile so it will fit on a sturdy, deep shelf or on a tabletop in the home/studio/workshop, being only somewhat broader in width when compared to an A2 paper size. If you're not shy of popular prejudice running in favour of eight fingers and two thumbs, or if you must, very carefully remove the oil from the blade: have the blade's cutting edge fully closed against the red stop block so that the sharp edge is completely out of accidental reach, or place a scrap piece of paper on top of your stock before cutting, because the oil used to protect the blade's surface will bleed onto the top sheet. I could go on; however, it's useful to you, please take some time to search YouTube to see the heavy duty paper cutter in action, they're branded as Stack Heavy Duty Paper Cutters. Tc. T.
