I ordered this ukulele based on the positive reviews, I liked what the company, Luna is all about after checking them out, and because this uke is just plain cool looking and has that "Island" feel to it. I have played guitar for over 40 years, mostly finger-picking and classical style, so I was excited to see what kind of music I could make on this instrument. I had never played a ukulele before but decided that a tenor ukulele would probably be a good place to start in terms of size and to be more playable for public audiences. After tuning it up and googling a cord chart, I was playing songs the first day and have even wrote a couple of songs since then. I can't say enough good things about this instrument. It's fun to play, has a pretty nice sound, and is right around $100. You can buy less expensive ones out there and I considered them, but I'm glad I chose this one as it feels like a great entry level ukulele. Some reviews noted that it doesn't stay in tune very long and I have found this to be true, the only negative. And it could be that the strings are not quite stretched out yet. Regardless, if you're looking for uke that not only has great style but sounds good, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

It is a lovely ukulele. Be aware that the tattoo design color is really a mid brown and not black as it looks in the pictures. As other reviews have said, the wood seems a bit thin and light and so possibly a bit fragile. This concert size has a lovely sound and is big enough to show off the complexity of the design to advantage. The Aquila strings are fine and the tone is very good, no twanging or buzzing. I am not an expert on the sound, but this one is mellow and melodic. The tuning keys are white plastic "mother of pearl", which is a nice touch to match the "shark tooth" insets. I think this beauty will be a favorite for many years. All ukuleles can go out of tune easily until frequently retuned and used so the strings stretch, and then they still need tuning, so if you touch it, tune it! Very satisfied. I did order the Amazon cover box but it came without it in the Luna ukulele box! This could be a problem if it sat in lobbies or doorsteps... tempting.

First let me say that this uke looks great in person! As another reviewer noted it is pretty light so not sure of it's fragility. But the craftsmanship is top notch! Straight out of the box the action was way too high! But after removing the saddle and a quick sanding with 180 grit sandpaper and now this thing sounds amazing! Amazing! I have a martin concert uke also and this thing keeps up with it no problem. I highly recommend this uke but if you get it know that you will need to properly set it up by adjusting the height at the saddle. If you don't feel comfortable doing it any music shop will do it for you fairly cheaply. But ever uke should be adjusted properly like this anyway.great product here

first things first this is my forth Ukulele and is my favorit one but I have one major complaint with this one... the tuning heads. ok lets start with the pros firstthe wood is pretty well finished the "tattoo" is engraved into the body not printed (looks better in person then in pic) the body gives a good clear ring, the neck is solid and the frets are in perfect pitch alignment. Right out of the box it will play wonderfully (might need tuning). now for the cons or con rather cause I only have one the tuning heads are crap... (for anyone who has no idea what that is it is the little nob at the top that tightens the string) the reason is the design it is one of the oldest tuning heads styles you can still find in use today. it will work but you will go out of tune pretty easy... I tried to deal with this by tightening all the screws once it was in tune to try to force it to stay in place but the quality in them suck just the same... after about a month of "giving them a chance" I finally caved in and took them off and replaced them with 4 standard black guitar tuning heads... I had to drill out the set holes and drill screw pilot holes for the set screws and now there are a few extra lefto over tiny hole on the back side from the original heads but OH MY GOD what a differance was made as soon as I was able to strech the strings out all 4 strings stayed right on pitch and even seemed to inhance the tone depth and richness... not to mention two days later I picked it up again and didn't have to tune it lol if you know how to re work the tuning heads buy this and do so if not... maybe learn or save up and buy one already worked over by a master craftsman... but over all a good buy oh the gig bag that comes with it is also trash its way to flimsy offers no protection and has very little room in the side pocket

This is a good uke, I bought it for my sister 5 years ago and it still works to this day. The strings are easy to press and close to the fret which is good quality. The strings also sound really warm in timbre which sounds nice.

Most important part of my review is that this is a beautiful, well made ukulele that has a rich and full sound. No string buzzing, and no "plinky" ukulele sound. Finish is beautifully crafted, and the tattoo design is a knockout. This looks so much better in person, as the photos don't show the warm mahogany tones well. My niece has several ukuleles, and this is her favorite. She loves it deeply, so after reading every review I bought mine. If considering this, or any breakable purchase from amazon, pay for the extra box!! When my mail carrier delivered it, there was a big tear in the Luna box they shipped in. Luckily there was no damage to the instrument. Also, several people in reviews complained about the free included gift bag. ( duh, it's free) The gig bag actually DOES have some padding in it on the front, back, and around sides. I am purchasing another case, but this one is way better than the one included with my first uke, and has an outside zipper pocket that is 7"x9", so big enough for a snack. I could go on and on about this beautiful instrument, but I would rather be playing it.

The quality of the ukulele is great. It is beautiful and sounds better than it looks. The bag is pretty good the zipper feels a little on the cheep side but I'm buying the ukulele and the bag is a bonus. I would also say the shipping method used is a little unconventional as they shipped it to me in the product box that has no cushioning and slides open. The instrument arrived in perfect condition but wow not even a Single packing peanut. The only thing between the ukulele and contact with everything during shipping is the thin box the instrument soft case and a very thin styrofoam bag. Thank you Amazon shipping for handling it with care.

Purchased this from Amazon Warehouse marked as "good/used" and I'm happy that when I received it, there's no any sign of usage though the box is damaged. Anyhow, the uke is in perfect condition, no scratch and has a beautiful tone. Got this for 123dhm or less tha $34

This ukulele is perfect for beginners - experts. The design is just like the picture and looks beautiful in person. The sound is great, with most to all ukuleles you will find that they will get out of tune pretty fast so I recommend an app on you phone or get a tuner since this ukulele only came with a bag for it. Delivery was quick, they shipped it the day after I made my order. I am new to the ukulele and it has been so easy to learn, especially since I have no musical background other than piano when I was 3-5 years old If you are new to the ukulele I 100% recommend this amazing ukulele :)
