Like many, we have a constant challenge keeping mice out of our ~~2,500 square foot crawlspace. In most places under the house it's stand-up height, but it has a dirt floor with plastic sheeting. Same as "lots of places for mice to live". We first bought this product about ten years ago, and I would grab a few little bricks from the pail whenever I ventured down to retrieve stored items like seasonal decorations. My last visit for fall decorations reminded me that I had run out of bait blocks, when all the pads I'd placed blocks on were cleaned up, and it seemed all the mice were happy to see me again. New pail of blocks arrived a few days ago, and I'll be placing some out for the population to graze on. Using these blocks, the mouse population is significantly diminished, to the point there's no evidence of activity except that the blocks are regularly eaten. Mice seem to love the apple fragrance and taste, evidenced by the layer of droppings on the lid. If only they could open the lid themselves for full access... I guess I need to put more out, especially if I want to completely eliminate the immediate infestation. Fortunately, it's a large enough pail that I won't feel bad about putting more out there. We'll see how well that works. Evidence shows it might. For this fall, I supplemented the bait blocks with a few bucket traps and some regular spring traps. I'll be down there today to place the new bait blocks, and see how effective the traps have been in the last few weeks they've been deployed. For the longer periods between visits down there, the bait blocks do the bulk of the population management.

The rodents love it!
We have been using this bait in our bait stations and need to refill them every week. After using the peanut butter flavor for a few months, I decided to switch to the apple flavor. The mice and pack rats seem to enjoy both flavors. It is difficult to measure the effectiveness of the product; I have found a few dead mice and rats, but I assume most go underground to die. This leads me to believe either the product does not have a 100% kill rate, or more rodents simply come in to take their place. I have been using this product for about six months now, and I have definitely noticed fewer droppings along their usual routes, as well as a significant decrease in nesting. Overall, there is less activity, but the bait continues to be consumed. I will keep using this bait in hopes of making progress in rodent control. We have been using this bait in our bait stations and need to refill them every week. Wow, rats love this stuff
I have a barn on several acres, so mice and rats are a more common thing then I'd like to admit. Twice, I have bought these bait blocks and just threw them in and around the stuff in the barn and the garage. Both times I have made the mistake of closing the container of bait, but leaving it in the room. The rats have, twice, chewed thru the plastic container to get at it's contents. So, they love the bait, but as much as they love it, they don't seem to be around anymore to have seconds. Now, the bait does not seem to be quick acting, but it is very effective. Took a week or so, but seems like it has taken care of all of the reasons why I would own the bait in the first place.
