Easy to use
I got these pellets as a substitute for bees wax. They were easy to use and manage, however, you do need to use more than the recipe calls for of bees was. I'd probably say about 25% more? I used it to make a vegan petroleum jelly. It produced something very soft, almost like lotion. I will use more next time. Regardless, I am very happy working with this product and would purchase again.

You use less of than beeswax so you get a lot for the money
I use candelilla wax to make lip balms and lotion bars. You use half of what you would use with beeswax because it's a harder wax. The result is smoother than beeswax, but just as moisture preserving. I used 1 teaspoon of wax to yield 10 lip balms to give you an idea of how much goes a long way. There is a smell not unlike burnt sage - it's slight, but with the lotion bars I could detect it, and with the lip balm it was undetectable (and the lip balm is only flavored with peppermint). It's pleasant to me, but something to consider.

Amazing Quality
I absolutely love this, it is such great quality. I make my own chapstick because I am allergic to beeswax and it works amazing. It would be great for other things too. Highly Recommend!!

A little goes a long way
Purchased this to use for making ointments and salves. Love it! And it's definitely worth the price if you're using it for creating body products! With trial and error I found, when using for salves, lotions, creams, etc., that a little (and I mean a very little) goes a long way!To help those wanting to use this for making body products, I'd advise starting with 1 tsp of Candelilla wax flakes per 2 measuring cups of coconut oil (or whatever oil base you're using). It looks like hardly anything when mixed in at first, but keep in mind that it cools down and hardens (some say it takes up to 3 days for the wax to harden completely)...I made the mistake of adding 2 more tsp to my first batch—BIG mistake, had to go back, re-melt things and add in another cup of coconut oil to soften the batch up (and for that batch I didn't even let it sit and harden for a full day!).Overall, perfect for what I bought it for!

Very easy to melt and use. Seems like a good value, sets up very nice too. Plant based so vegan friendly.

Smart alternative to other wax
I used this wax to make some deodorant, and it helped keep it in solid form. I love that it is a vegan wax and I look forward to using it for other DIY items!! When I was melting it down it did seem to take a longer bit of time than I expected, but overall it did melt nicely and isn't soft at all, it is actually small yellow firm disc like pellets that when it hardens after melting it is a very solid hard wax. For some reason I thought it was a white wax, but it is yellow, with specific but fairly neutral smell. The packaging is also great - resealable and easy to store. Wish I had more feedback, but since I've only used it for the deodorant, that is all I have to base my opinion and experience with it on. I would certainly recommend this wax as an alternative vegan friendly product!

Wonderful substitute for beeswax!
Finally found something I can use in place of my natural beeswax for my face creams and lotions. I have developed an allergy to beeswax, and have been unable to wear my own moisturizers and lotions. I have tried several other waxes that just didn't work! Since I do not use the commercial beeswax beads, the conversions just didn't work, and the end product wasn't the same. This says to use half as much as the beeswax you are replacing, but I did a little less than that. You will just have to play with it in your own formulas. The consistency of my Ceres Lemon Skin Renew is exactly the same with this product as it was with my natural beeswax, and I can use my own night cream again. Happy, happy, happy! And it makes my products vegan, for those who are looking for animal-free skin care products.

Great vegan alternative wax!
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this to use for my vegan beard balm (and other balms and waxes), and I’m in love with it! It has a wonderful, smooth texture, and blends with the other ingredients well. I would absolutely purchase this again in the future, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a vegan alternative wax 😊
