Amazeballs!
Let me start off by saying that I am NOT a professional hair colorist. I cut and color my own hair though a) because I cannot afford to have it done at a salon b) because I am never happy with the way my hair comes out when I do go to the salon. With that said, I wanted my hair to have a balayage/sombre effect. Some of my hair previously bleached before I used this product, with the regular wella lightener that can be purchased at Sally's. I wanted to freehand paint more highlights into my hair but the problem with the regular wella bleach is that it swells and gets puffy after a while and it becomes harder to work with. Blondor freelights is made specifically for free-hand painting techniques. It is clay based which is why it doesn't swell. It stays the same from the time you mix it to the time you're done applying it. I mixed mine with Olaplex and a 30vol developer and I am very happy with the results. This stuff is good!

Definitely NOT Blonder!!!
This went on easy for highlights and I left it on 50 mins. But the color was NOT Blonde! It was Gold! I used this bc I don’t like toners with my brown and my stylist never uses toner with me. So I called Wella and they wouldn’t talk to me bc this is for professionals only, but she said to call Wella Colorcharm. And they said to use a the t11 toner, which I reluctantly did… and it was worse! If this had turned out Blond as described, it would have been great… so now I have to wait till it grows out to look anywhere near normal. Warmth is not a good look for me. This stuff is awful and I even tried both ratios 1-1.5 & 1-2. I spoke to a few hair professionals and they said Wella is known for its warmth… WELLA HELL!

Worked on virgin hair, did nothing on previously lightened hair
I’m in the process of gradually lightening my hair at home and wanted to use a product that would let me free paint without foils or strips. I have so much hair and coloring it can be painfully time consuming. Getting through all of it without overprocessing one area or having uneven sections is damn near impossible when my hands are tied up with foils or strips. My ultimate goal is a level 9. Paired with their 20vol developer, this lightened my regrowth from a natural level 5 to a 7, but did nothing for my level 8 ends. I don’t wanna be that amateur who misuses the product and then blames the product, maybe I should’ve used foils or a higher level peroxide. In the end, I had to do another round of bleach with the brand I’d used previously and was able to get to a level 9.

Worked great!
Came factory sealed. I used it with the closed system Wella freelights 12% developer and it works perfectly!
