Clairol Professional Beautiful Collection Semi-Permanent Hair Color

Great product as always. I get it now to cover any grays that might be coming through. I cut my hair and it is in a short style so it is easy to just put on rubber gloves and add after shampoo or the next day. I wouldn't fret too much on how to use it. Just think of it as an expensive leave in conditioner. It actually comes in clear which would just add volume to fine limp hair. It wouldn't hurt to try it in clear first before adding a color to get the feel of what needs to be done. I don't know if I would find it so easy if my hair was long. I usually add color every two weeks and not a drastic color difference.

This is an excellent product, but don’t expect it to lighten your hair. You need bleach for that—this product won’t do it. What it will do is even out your color, leave your hair soft and shiny, and cause no damage. Make sure your hair is freshly shampooed and lightly towel-dried. I leave it on for 40 minutes, then rinse until the water runs clear. Do not shampoo right after coloring—just rinse and condition. I’ve used it for years with great results.

I have been using this temporary hair dye for years. It gets the job done. The only thing which is a must, always give your hair a good hot oil treatment after it wears off and i promise you this semi dye is really good and it will last longer as i stated.

I had grey roots, and too many highlights and tones (for my taste) so I needed something that covered and evened out both. This did just that-root to tip. I was surprised how even it looked despite me having multiple tones in my hair. I like and I’ll use it again. I hope it doesn’t wash out too fast but we’ll see. The only reason I’m giving it four stars is that my hair felt quite dry/parched after rinsing.

80..do my own hair. Use this in between permanent color. Looks natural and easy to use. Hair Below shoulders and healthy.

Does not cover grays. I had high hopes for this product. Not only was the bottle tiny ( I should have paid more attention to that before ordering) but there were no directions. I googled the directions, followed them to the letter and very minimal improvement. I DO NOT recommend.

For product easy of use pleasant smell no drying out of hair I would have given a 4 star but it DIDN'T colour my grey hairs. I have dark brown/black hair so I knew it wouldn’t change my main colour but really hope it would colour my greys to give me a highlighted look. Have some left in tge bottle so maybe will try again in 4/6 wks Note … I’m a black woman with relaxed hair

What I love about this semi-permanent color is that it looks completely natural. It doesn't leave a defined line like a skunk as it grows out; it just fades. Also, it doesn't look fake by dyeing your hair one solid color. It covers up your white and gray hairs, but doesn't dye the darker hair since I choose the "Honey Brown" shade which is slightly lighter than my own dark brown color. This way, your white/gray hairs just end up looking like beautiful highlights. I've tried other shades and the other shades didn't look good on me with bad looking pink, purple, or red tinges. If one shade doesn't work for you, try another. My husband has very fine hair and tried the black shade as part of a Halloween costume, and it didn't take at all! Based on similar reviews about the Black, there must be something wrong with the formula and it's nothing new as my husband used it back in 2019. Very simple to use, no mixing. All you do is shampoo your hair and then apply it liberally onto damp hair and wait. I recommend using gloves, which you'd have to buy separately. I think the instructions say to leave it in for 25 minutes to process, but I leave it in for 45-60 minutes because 25 minutes is not enough for my hair. I go several weeks before needing to re-color, but I also don't need to wash my hair everyday.

Covers grey nicely but washes out a little faster than I hoped. Left on hair 20 mins and covered with shower cap. Overall happy with shade and scent. I think after 5-6 washes it started to fade slightly, worth it for a holiday

Love this product. I pick 2 colors and blend them together and make my own shade!
