Pokémon Adventures Collector's Edition, Vol. 1 (Volume 1) Paperback – 14 May 2020

A lovely collection of Pokémon nostalgia here, featuring the original designs of many pokémon, including fat pikachu! The story itself is surprisingly dark for a pokémon adventure, nowhere near as sanitised as the anime. In one chapter, pokémon zombies and skeletons feature, and the sequence ends with one pokémon being cut in half. As a result I would probably advise looking through this yourself before letting young children read it. The book itself is genuinely high quality, with well printed paper, and a matte cover that is great to both read and display. Highly recommended for all pokémon fans.

The media could not be loaded. Excellent collection of the first three Pokémon Adventures. Tightly bound. Clean design. Crisp images. Perfect especially for a first time collector.

The story turned out better than I expected. It's like if the best of the original tv series was condesed into a smaller size along with some hint of "JoJo"ness. The art is cute. The battle scenes are fantastic. A chapter can feel like an entire episode of its own (impacts re-readability). The build-up is great. It's the right amount of shortness both in length and price. What more can you ask. Especially if you're a pokemon fan.

Okay, I’ve always been a huge Pokémon fan and when I found out there was a manga that was more so based off of the games I was extremely excited.First of all, these collectors editions have some really nice colour pages and the manga in general has some maps of the adventure and at the end his teams stats.Story wise , I’ve found the pacing may be a little fast for me.. However I did find I was enjoying it nonetheless and kept on reading it, but due to this I’d say overall it is a 4.5.I’m most likely going to be picking up the other volumes another time soon, but keep wary that the shipping time on volume one isn’t the best at the moment.
