Poppy Austin Vitamin C Face Serum with Hyaluronic Acid, 2oz

Now that I'm into my 30s I am trying to fight my skin's ageing as much as possible & have started to try new products & incorporate more into my somewhat simple skin care routine. I have some dark patches on my cheeks from birth control & sun exposure that are my only real pet-peeve. I first tried another C serum I purchased off amazon for a few months & was overall happy with the results, but the constancy seemed a little watery & the bottle ran out pretty fast since I like to use it on my face, neck & chest. It was my first time ever trying a C serum & I noticed results after a few weeks. When I ran out of that brand, I decided to try the Poppy Austin serum due to the larger size & the good reviews. After a week of use I had 2 strangers think I was almost 10 years younger than I am. I was actually carded at a store & the clerk (who was WAY younger than me) was surprised at my age. His exact words were "No way"... & I take that as a compliment. I don't think the Poppy Austin C serum is completely the reason (because I am religious about my sunblock & other aspects of my health), but it's definitely made my skin brighter, smoother & is evening out the tone already. My dark patches are still there, but slightly less noticeable. I use it twice a day, morning & night under my regular moisturizer, sunblock & powder make-up with no issues. I will continue to purchase this serum in the future & plan on buying my mother some to try for Christmas this year. Great product!

I've used this morning and night since July 2014. I am 26 years old with very fair skin. When I was younger, I was never good with applying sunscreen and would end up with some pretty bad burns. For the past 5 years, I have been much better with avoiding sunburns or too much exposure to sunlight. However, I have noticed some hyperpigmentation, including a couple age spots and lasting freckles. I've never had bad acne, but have always had a few breakouts and always a couple pimples here and there. I had never used a vitamin C serum before trying Poppy Austin's. Within a few days, I noticed I wasn't getting any new pimples. It completely cleared my skin. It was smoother and softer and more radiant. I honestly felt like my skin was glowing. Since using this for the past 7-8 months, I've noticed a lot of my hyperpigmentation has improved. I still have some "age spots" and little fine lines under my eyes (which I believe are simply genetic) but they have definitely improved. I also have severe dark under eye circles due to my pale complexion and the structure of my eye socket and this has helped helped make it not as severe looking. I feel that I look more awake! I initially bought this for it's great price and since it comes in a 2 oz bottle. I have bought it 2 more times since and plan to continue using it twice a day. I've also recommended it to my mom who is 60 and she loves it!

Nice big bottle, took about a week to get here. Evens complexion for sure. Probably the most effective thing I've ever used to remove dark marks from acne scarring along with daily use of sunscreen of course. I saw a huge improvement in my marks in a bit over a week and they're basically gone in a month. This serum uses sodium ascorbyl phosphate rather than L-ascorbic acid or magnesium ascorbyl phosphate so it is not as effective at building collagen. Its pH is basic and will dried my skin out over time until I began following with a more acidic toner.

I've been using this product for a couple months now, and it has made a significant difference in my skin. A friend of mine just commented the other day that my skin was looking brighter and 'radiant'! I love how easy it is to apply and the feeling on my skin is hydrated without being oily. I have combination oily skin and have been using oil cleaning and oil moisturizer for a number of years, which cleared my acne issues completely. Now I'm getting older I'm starting to think of anti-aging and this serum is fantastic. I cleanse my face in the morning, apply rosewater spritz and then put a few drops of this serum in the palm of my hand and apply with my fingertips all over my face and neck. It is very watery but easy to apply. There is no scent, it sinks in immediately with just a hydrated feeling on the skin. I stop there as my organic foundation I use has nourishing oils and I don't need any extra moisture. Love this, the price is great, and this should last quite a long time! Definitely recommend!

I was searching for something with Hyaluronic Acid in it and came across this. I had heard about the benefits from Vitamin C a lot recently, including on Dr. Oz's "Drop a Decade from Your Face." He recommends 3% to 10%, which this has 20% I believe -- but I opted to try it any ways. I am very, very, very pleased with the results. I was amazed at how much smoother, brighter, and firmer it became. Using this with my Clarisonic, my face is so shiny and smooth. I don't know if it was a matter of timing or just a matter of using it more, but I didn't notice a big difference when I used it once at night for the first four nights. On the fifth day, I started applying it in the morning and night a huge difference. I even had a little bit of peeling, but that could have been because me starting to test it with Retin A one time. In the future, I would like to try using this in combination with Retin A in the evenings.

Hmmmmm. Been buying this for awhile. Got a coupla rancid bottles earlier this year (batch 40628.) How do I know they were rancid? Cause the first three bottles I got had NO smell, we're completely CLEAR, and did NOT sting when applied. Got a few more bottles that were CLOUDY, had a distinct ODOR, and STUNG my face when applied. Certain batch numbers were great and the other? NOT great. This most recent bottle? 01/03/16... Yeah, not so sure about this purchase. Just received my latest bottle, today. First of all, the product appears SLIGHTLY cloudy in the bottle. Not a good sign. So, I opened and smelled. It had a slight, very slight, but still apparent odor. *sigh* Here we go again. Other bottles have been hella cloudy and odor-rific while newer batches were CLEAR. Mind you, I've been through at least 10 orders of this... Also of note: They've also STOPPED putting lot numbers on the batches. Hmmmm. Why? So, I guess I'll go try it on my face. If it does NOT sting, I will keep it and use it quickly. However, if it stings, then back it goes for a refund. So sad. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product when it is FRESH and CLEAR (Batch numbers matter.) It is fantastic when it's not RANCID. Sorry Poppy Austin, a cloudy product means BACTERIA GROWTH. Eeeeeew. We'll see. Just wish I be assured that I'm getting fresh product, not a bottle that has had incredible temperature changes and has been sitting on an Amazon shelf somewhere for a year. If you can guarantee me that, Poppy Austin, then you've got a customer for life. Otherwise, EVERY ORDER IS A CRAP SHOOT. Dang it.

I love the vitamin c serum. It is very light and the hyaluronic acid makes it very hydrating.

I waited to leave my review for Poppy Austin Vitamin C until I used it for awhile. Now that I am ordering my next bottle I feel confident to be able to recommend this product. I use this on my face after the rose water every day. I also have used it on my right arm as a test but not on my left arm. Let me tell you that after a couple of weeks I felt bad for my left arm and started using the serum on it also. It softened the dry elbow area extremely well. On my face (which is the point of the product) it has tightened the pores on my nose and helps heal any pimple I get quickly. Before using this serum a pimples would cause a red spot that seemed to never go away long after the pimple was gone. With the serum the pimples and the redness go away extremely quick. I also have very sensitive skin and rosacea so products have to be mild for me to use. This serum is very mild and has never stung my face. I love it! Thank you Poppy Austin for a great product!

Have brought several times. Good quality serum that really does brighten the skin. Perfect to use post dermarolling.

I thought that getting a serum with a combination of all the recommended things which are good for your skin would be a great idea, however, this product isn't as great as it seems on paper. It actually made my face sting, and it leaves my already dry skin very tight and dry. Perhaps this may be more suitable for combination or oily skin.

Used for my face and i really like that it brightens me up especially with the sun

I originally loved it but over used it as it soaks in very easily and I wanted to cover my whole face. However you are meant to only use a few drops according to the directions and this does not cover my whole face at all. I have stopped using it as I don't want to overuse it and hurt my skin but the amount recommended is just not enough.
