It's a love story
**Spoiler Alert**This could have been a great love story but alas it wasn't. I can see this story becoming a movie, but many things would have to change for it to be successful. The entire section about his tour in Vietnam should be cut out. At the point where he is no longer a weatherman on the range, he would not have been offered a tour of that war if he was as valuable to the military as the book makes him out to be. He would not have been given a slot at the Academy either. Instead, what makes logical sense is that he would have been ordered to attend diplomat school to become the first liaison between the ET's and humans. He would have been enticed to stay in the military if he was that valuable. What should have happened is that "The Teacher" and him fall in love and become the first married hybrid couple. His job as liaison would be the end of the story.Of course, to tell this story in a movie would require that almost all of the events from the previous two books be cut out, leaving only the ones where Charles is dealing with his fear of the aliens. The story is about him overcoming his fear of them, and then falling in love with one of them. His transformation from a simple airman to a valued diplomat is also another aspect of the story.I don't buy the storyline that he wanted to quit the military because he was homesick. They had leave back then for that. The Air Force would have gone to great lengths to keep him if he was as valuable as made out to be in the books. So, the story doesn't add up as a logical progression but instead is a mish mash of events that sort of follow a storyline. It would be a great alternative to the other ET movies out there, which depict them as dangerous or otherwise bad people. This series of books shows that is not the case.At the end of the movie, we'd see Charles and Teacher sitting side by side in a private jet headed for DC.

Great storyline - lack of editing - still a great book!
Out of 1-5 books in this series (now another book 6), I initially skipped this one because of the reviews in regards to Charles Hall's experience in the Vietnam war. It's not that I didn't find that last part of the book interesting, but it had nothing to do with the Tall Whites. Although, previously mentioned, he was only writing his stories for his children/grandchildren. Just like the other 4 books in this series (not counting number 6), the editing or should I say 'lack of editing' is the only drawback. I've continued to read/listen to this series because of the Tall Whites. The storyline is great, I just had to get past the self-editing. The main story is still worth 5 stars in my opinion. I've watched many of his interviews and he is a kind, honest and Godly man. I don't doubt his stories to be anything but true.Furthermore, I know this series was self published, self edited and the same goes for the audio (which I listened to), but during the audio nobody told Charles and his wife (who reads the front matter) that it's not necessary to read ALL the front matter. This includes the LCCN and the copyright word for word, and all the numbers. In this audio, it was showing chapter seven before the story started and that chapter was 1.5 hours long. At times during the audio, I could here a lot of background noise, a lot of echoing and the sound levels weren't level. I'm not deducting stars for lack of editing or knowledge on how to do these things, but I do wish someone could've reached out to help them do this up to standard. There were so many, throughout the book, if not nearly every sentence more telling instead of showing. The rule of 'show not tell' comes to mind as well as the multiple uses of adverbs, which drove me a bit crazy, lol. Also, whomever posted these book should go back, I know it can be done easily, and rename the series numbers. Such as this book is listed as lii NOT III as it should be or simply use the number 3. Several of the other books are listed the same way. Typo, yes, but important to fix those little errors in the main titles. I'm not saying this to down the story. I'm hoping that Charles Hall will see it as trying to help him, not being critical in a bad way, but a learning way. I still love his experiences and I'm sure this series is doing well and will continue to do so. If I didn't like the series, I would not be continuing to book six.

But I enjoyed the books all the same.
Hi there, I enjoyed reading the 3 books by Charles James hall, but thought it was written lacking information regarding how the tall whites lived on there own planets, I would have asked them if they drove cars, motorcycles, what other animal's lives on there planet? What foods do they eat , what plants? Do they have pets? Do they have holiday's? , Robert white....

I can't honestly say Charles is the best writer there is
I can't honestly say Charles is the best writer there is, but he gives a personal account of his experiences as a young airman. The reader must remember, that Charles was very young at the time here, and he may have integrated some of his current knowledge to account for what must have been an extraordinary and frightening experience. He reveals things that can be better interpreted by more advanced knowledge we have today about the Whites, and their connection to US politics. There are many things said in this book, that could elucidate current geopolitical circumstances today, by the astute reader.I am surprised the Whites allowed Charlie the freedom he has to talk about this. Normally there are serious measures taken by the Whites to protect their existence on earth, and those working close to them do not have this privilege.I am also convinced, there may be some discord between the Whites about their agenda on earth.

Finally, we get the truth
I am convinced the author speaks from experience and is not just writing a fiction novel. Which makes this book, like the first three, absolutely amazing and a must read for all who seek the truth about aliens.
