If new belt didn’t fix slippage replace the roller.
Made my 20 year old Kirby clean carpets like brand new. You never realize how worn the original roller is getting till you replace it. If the belt keeps slipping even though the belt is new and the brushes look good replace the roller. When on carpets I’d see the light dim and as the belt slipped. My carpets are pretty short and usually I’m 3 clicks up from bottom. But on some of my older worn areas the vacuum would suck the carpet off the floor and cause the roller to drag and the belt would slip. I wasn’t getting good cleaning as the roller stuck or slowed down. I thought it was the belt or the drive pin, but replacing the roller solved the issue and now it cleans like it did when new.

Brush length is short.
I wanted to replace the head brush on my vacuum, but in comparison to the original one that's 14 years old, the brush length was nearly identical. So I guess it will wait in the closet until the original brush gets too short to use.
