And while mine unlike the pictures has the bolt on the BOTTOM (was a nice surprise when I opened it) the bolt goes in ...
Seems well-made, but the shape does not give much clearance from the counter sprocket cover. You can basically only put it in one position. And while mine unlike the pictures has the bolt on the BOTTOM (was a nice surprise when I opened it) the bolt goes in at an angle that points it right at the frame. I still had to use a wrench.Don't know how it compares to stock, my bike came with an MSR +1" which I did not like at all. I'll definitely keep the IMS over that, but may end up modifying it or finding one that allows more adjustment.Update 7/8/18 - After a few hundred miles with this shifter installed, the position is perfect for me and fixed the shifting issues I was having. That's for me with my boots on my bike, YMMV.

Fit great on my DRZ400
Works great on my DRZ400. Pretty easy to install and it's a bit bigger which is nice for people with big feet. The construction is nice and the shift lever feels pretty durable. So far it's been pretty nice to use and has been holding up well so far.

It isn't quite right but still is better than stock
This shifter DOES NOT fit a drz400. I took a large rock and bent it to make it work. It isn't quite right but still is better than stock. If I can find another steel shifter I'll probably switch it out.

Good, but some bald spots.
Noticed two spots that bare metal was exposed. Put a clear coat over it so hopefully it wont rust (I live in Okinawa, Japan rust is a problem here). Fits like a glove.

Nice replacement shift lever!
Got this for my 2008 DR-Z400 Super Moto and I'm very happy with the quality and finish of this shift lever. It was a bit of a struggle to install, but it's the design of the bike and not at all the fault of the lever. Suzuki has a few things in the way on the DR-Z's that make it a bit of a blind installation without putting the bike on its side. I have used several IMS products in my years of riding and their quality has always been top-notch.

Solid steel construction
Much more rigid than the OEM aluminum shift lever. Perfect for transferring crash forces into bending the internal gear shifting bits!

Good little shifter
Good little shifter, rounded in the back to save your engine case, easy install, quLity product! Same lenght as the OEM one but better in every way!

Firmer shifting, fixed my stock shifter slippage issues.
Eliminated my 2nd gear slipping. The clamp bolt is a little beefier than stock, and it has way better shifting response. The tip has a rubber cover similar to stock as well which my leather boots appreciate.
