Skechers USA Men's Diameter-Garzo Loafer

most Skechers are easy to break in, but not these. After wearing them for about 1 hour I had blisters on both my heel and the front of my ankle because they are too tight and every step makes them rub those hot spots. I’ve had them for a few weeks. They’re still stiff & haven’t broken in. I can’t wear them long enough to break them in because they hurt. I would return them, but I tossed the box thinking “they’re Sskechers, they’ll be fine.” They aren’t. Either this is a bad run or these are knock offs because when I tried a pair of these on about 6 months ago at a store, they felt fine—no hot spots. I’ve never had a pair of Skechers this uncomfortable.Update: they are finally breaking in, but they are still uncomfortaable and already showing ugly signs of wear. I’m a bit tough on shoes, but I’ve only worn these for casual trips shopping and short walks and they’re already scuffed more than most with this level of use.I’m worried that by the time they’re broken in they won’t be presentable to wear to casual events. I’ll have to see if I can clean them up… If they get better I’ll update again. Adding 1 star.

I bought these shoe in June of 2014. I am writing this as of Feb. 2015. I keep a few pairs of shoes to rotate through the week but I find these Skechers to be the most comfortable and versatile and were easily my favorite. So I am careful with these shoes and I wear these 2-3 days a week. I would consider this very light and gentle use. Well 8 months later there is a about 2-3 inches of horizontal tear along the small toe would be. This tear happens consistently on BOTH sides of the shoe -- the material begins to tear itself out of the seams. It just indicative of poor design and construction. I wear these around in the office, it's not like I'm doing parkour or working on the yard. So in 8 months, with very careful and light use, it start to tear badly and become obsolete. This is such a shame since outside of the poor construction, they're extremely versatile and comfortable shoe and I did see myself becoming a life long customer of these shoes. I'm not even mad.. just extremely disappointed.

I had 3 of these over the year. First pair frayed frayed on the front sides like in some of the picture reviews. I still liked the shoes so much I thought this was a bad batch. Those wore out and I order 2 more from history. Yep same thing on both the other ones I got. Frayed as in you see sock! I loved the shoes. $48 back then. Today 5 years later I'm just now reviewing and $109. huh?

I purchased these shoes in January and am leaving this review after about 8 months of use.For perspective, I use these as my main work shoes - 4 to 5 days per week. I work on my feet all day long and I average 12,000 - 15,000 steps each day.At first, these shoes were great. They fit well, looked good and the memory foam insoles felt good on my feet. I have occasional severe pain in the pad of my right foot, so cushioning is important.After about 3 months, the cushioning was all but worthless, and I started getting more pain in both feet than usual. I added some new insoles and that solved the problem.Soon after, the shoes started splitting and cracking in several places. The top of one shoe started cracking and then fraying, the sides split and lining fell apart. The soles, however, have held up nicely.These shoes are fine for light use, but don't expect to use them for daily wear.

I purchased the Diameter-Garzo at the sale price along with the Amazon special sale initiative, so got a great price on this unit and couldn't pass it by considering the looks alone on this model, I've always favored this particular shoe style. For me it's not that comfortable where I think I could probably wear it everyday, all day and so forth but for a shoe it is really comfortable, lots of sole flex, not a stubborn stiff sole etc., and has a fairly moderate wide mid-foot, nice fitting heel cup and also fits really nice around the ankle and hugs it to where it stays on the foot well without any sort of slipping, even for my narrow foot form and heel. The insole does appear to be of high enough quality and forms around the edges of the internal shoe but I think if it where just a bit thicker and a bit more perforated and a little softer I could wear these endlessly. I will wear these on casual/dress type of events and occasions, I really like the look of this particular shoe style. As another member stated, they do appear well built and durable and should easily go the distance, rather unique look as well.As far as sizing, I wear 11 1/2 in most casual shoes and size 12 in running shoe styles and could have easily fit in a size 11 in this particular model and would probably be more appropriate for me in sizing, but the size 11 1/2 is quite roomy and leaves plenty of ample space for a thick dressy type sock to complete the affair.Overall, a solid good looking shoe at the low sale price and a great bargain and will be looking good for any upcoming social occasion.

I have had a lot of satisfaction over the past few years from Sketchers. I was looking for a shoe that was not formal but that I could wear to work. This shoe goes well with khakis or jeans. It is nice and well constructed. First impressions though it was very tight. The first 4 hrs in them had to take it easy. As the shoe "breaks in" it becomes a glove for your foot. Here on day 5 they are great and a total pleasure to get around in. I give it 4 instead of 5 because of general construction, the fabric interior combined with the tight fit will lessen the life of the shoe to no more than 6 months of daily wear. Not bad but not great.

They're ok. I also got the Diameter Blake in brown for a few quid less than these, the blakes are far superior. These ones just look and feel a lot cheaper than the blakes, but I like slip-ons so I'll be keeping them. Highly reccomend the blakes over these Garzos though if you can be bothered to lace up every time.

the sides of the shoes are higher than I expected and initially slightly dug into the side of my foot. Now that they are worn in they are comfortable all round. Shrugs of dirt quite well so needs less cleaning. In recent icy weather were fine on snow but less so on ice - but no shoes are OK on ice!

Whilst the shoes are a little too tight, I'm hoping they will loosen up with time.The shoes are well made but they are difficult to get a decent shine when polishing due to the fact that the leather is dull and matt.Would have preferred them to be a little wider fitting and leather more polished.

Got these shoes about a week ago so only worn them a couple of times to the local shops but so far so good the fit is very good and overall very pleased with this purchase.
