The Roots Naturelle Curly Hair Products Bouncy Curls (8 Ounce). Moisturizing Anti-frizz Cream for Natural Hair

I am a white woman with longish hair past my shoulders. On a good day it's like Shirley Temple. On a bad day it's like Pattie LaBelle circa 1985. It looks great when freshly shampooed, but shampoo destroys my hair, as does conditioner, as does the dozens of other products (including homemade) I have tried before finally settling on plain water rinse, as infrequently as possible (one a week in the winter), which leaves my hair a tangled mess and nary a curl in sight. So I tried using Bouncy Curl as a conditioner, knowing that I can't leave any styling product on my hair as it's too fragile. After rinsing my hands, I put a dollop on my palm and lightly spread it through my hair, rinsing it off immediately. Then I let my hair dry naturally.It does just what it says. Once my hair was dry (using a tee shirt instead of a terry cloth towel to minimize breakage), I had bouncy curls, and scrunching gave them more lift. The curls lasted a couple of days but then I re-activated them with my clothing steamer (since my hair, unlike most curly girls, loves humidity). It's now been a 6 days since I used the product and I still have bouncy curls.The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that I did have some breakage when I used a pick to comb through it when dry. There are some ingredients my hair doesn't like that causes breaking (but that is my fussy hair - it doesn't like anything, not even plain coconut oil). I'm going to try Kinky Curly custard, as I checked their ingredient list and I think my hair should be okay with it.Bouncy Curls probably works even better as a styling product but I was using it more like a co-wash. It does activate the curl and I imagine it works even better on African or mixed-chicks hair. But it works pretty well on European hair. Try it if you have curly hair that isn't prone to breakage.

It's smells so good a coconut smell and it works! I am a white female with waist long hair medium thickness and I have natural body in my hair I take a shower pat my hair brush it while its wet then put this on my hair flip it a few times and go people always ask me what I put in my hair because it smells so good. And it helps my hair to give me a little more body and bouncy curls. With my length there's a lot of weight so my natural waves don't stay bouncy with this as long as I don't use a brush and just finger comb it while out and about it my curls can last almost 6-8 hours if my hair starts to lose the curls and starts getting puffy I can just get my hands wet and finger comb it and the curls are back for a few more hours.

LOVE this curling cream SO MUCH. First, it smells delicious - very important! Second, it is this white creamy consistency that does NOT, I repeat does not, weigh your hair down. I put on about 2 TBSP on my hair and it still felt wonderfully flowy without feeling weighed down by product. It's excellent price for the amount of product. Well-packed. Arrived right on time. The reviews were great. I use it to curl my hair on the 2nd-3rd day after styling it straight AND I use it when I come out of the shower, towel dry and don't want to style with a blow dryer so I just add it to damp hair. I have struggled for years (decades) with my fine, wavy to curly hair. It frizzes with the smallest rise in humidity and, of course, I lived in areas with high humidity like Houston, TX. When I retired a couple of years ago, I decided (with urging of my daughter-in-law) to stop trying to manage it into a "professional" style and embrace my natural hair and curls. I still wanted to minimze frizz though. Bouncy Curl helps control the frizz without leaving my hair stiff if I use a minimal amount. Nothing else has worked as well and I have been experimenting for over 18 months and have tried a number of products. Bouncy Curl leaves my hair, shiny, touchable and helps control the frizz.

I'm in love with this product, I don't need moose or hairspray that's the best part to and it it makes my curls look do good I really can't stop looking at myself in the mirror,!!! It dose not dry my hard out like moose and hair spray would. Even after I take a shower my hair feel so good!!! I got a good size jar and i did nt even have to use alot to get my curls going like I would moose and hair spray. I will keep ordering this site product and will recommend it to any one!!! I have tried lots of leave in conditioners lots of curls creams and I found this one that makes me happy!!!!!!😚 THANK YOU

I like everything about this product - except the smell. It's not that it's unpleasant, it's coconut which I like but it's just so overdone, it's like somebody accidentally emptied a bottle of perfume on my head. It performed so well otherwise that I was considering making it my go-to anyway but after a week of it I've decided I can't live with that. I wonder if the producers would consider offering it in an unscented or much lighter scent variety. Then, it would be my go-to. Then, it would be five-star.

I like the product it does define my natural curls like I need but no matter how much or less I use it leaves a white residue in my hair while it is still wet it and if I'm on my way somewhere I don't have time to let it dry that's the only problem I have with it can't go out until it drys

Thought this would leave hair feeling hydrated but not impressed. Me (black w/fine, soft spiral curls) hubby (salvi w/full big ringlet curls slightly rougher texture then mine & sons) son (uh yeah mixed w/Full Thick tight spiral curls) so 3 totally different textures of curls and none of our hair felt moisturized after and our sons was the worse it was like his hair just sucked it up but was still thirsty lol. Still not a horrible product, it smells nice but you would definitely have to pair it with other products and because of that I won't be buying it again... Our taming the curls journey continues

The cream is good for my curly hair but I just can't stand the smell. Gave me a terrible headache which lasted for 2 days. I am too scared to give it another try. It has a very very sweet smell of vanilla+coconut. I love anything that smells of vanilla but this was an overdose. This is possibly the most expensive product I have ever bought for my hair and I don't even want to use it. Total wastage.
