Rack-A-Tiers 88455 Self Levelling Magnetic Damping Laser Plumb Bob

I wanted to use it for transferring the locations of recessed lights from the floor where I had marked the layout to a 12' high, slightly sloped ceiling. The laser dot was all over the place, off by between 1/2" to over 1 inch. I ended up using two of my cheap Bosch lasers, which worked great. Unfortunately, I had purchased it in the fall of 2023 for this job that I am doing now (May 2024) to mark the locations of 80+ recessed lights, so returning it is not an option. Hopefully I can use it as a toy for my cat. She loves chasing laser dots.

Works great on sloped ceilings. Measure on the floor aim the plumb bob up bame done. Excellent for recessed light installation

Worth the investment. Saved me a lot of time and awkward positioning on the ladder. Just lay out your lighting lay out on the floor and let the laser mark the spot on the ceiling.

Gigantic, and expensive.. Returned and bought a Bosch

This little device does exactly what I need as an architect. It transfers dimension points precisely from floor to ceiling.
