LB1 High Performance Battery for Dell WU946 WU960 WU965 312-0701

I bought this to replace a 3 year old Dell Studio 1558 battery that was getting weak. It wouldn't last an hour. This replacement was not too expensive and there were more positive comments than negative so I thought I would give it a try. It fit just as well as the original. I would consider it a perfect fit and it looks pretty much identical. I've only charged it once and I got maybe two hours out of the first charge. We'll see how well it does after a few full charge cycles. One odd thing did happen. After applying a windows update (Office 2010 patch IIRC) and rebooting, I did get a BIOS error that says it was an unknown battery and that charging was disabled (or something to that effect). After I rebooted to clear the message, it charged just fine. That only happened one time and it's working well now.

This battery arrived at my door a little over 24 hours after I ordered it....simply amazing how fast they packaged it up and got it to me. It came with very detailed instructions on how to charge it up properly as well as a battery basics tutorial....very nice. I would not have known how to go about charging and discharging it to get it to full capacity without the included flyer. So, I did the charge-discharge cycle at least three times and so far, everything seems to be going good. The battery fits perfectly, it was packaged superbly with double padding inside a padded sleeve inside a shipping envelope. Very nice. With the warranty and the price compared to a Dell battery, this could prove to be a very nice deal...if it lasts. Believe me, if this battery goes south too soon and the warranty proves worthless, I WILL be the first person on here b*tching about the situation! But as of now, I'm one happy camper!

System had gotten to be long in the tooth and would just shut down. That said it was still able to meet our basic needs.Tried cleaning the fan thinking heat to no avail. Decided to replace battery as a last chance before buying a new system. A $30 something investment vs. hundreds seemed to be a wise gamble.Vendor performance was business like meaning that they delivered as promised at the correct price. Good service, at a fair price.

Good, but expensive. Generic batteries available at a much lower cost. No difference in operation between the Dell and Generic.Right now, I am using a generic equivalent with no sacrifice in longevity or operation. Am keeping the Dell battery for a backup.

2 months in, and battery works with no issues holding charge. Only thing that concerns me and reason I did 4 stars, is that battery seems to get very hot compared to previous battery.

This battery was a perfect replacement for my Dell Studio which will be three years old in October. I was not prepared to purchase another computer so this purchase has extended my computers life.

Charged it up and it is holding charge where my original battery did not. I hope I don't have to use warranty, but the longer warranty makes me feel more secure.
