This washer is great for very small loads of laundry but it's not meant for a large household

Noise !
The machine like most HE washers today uses very little water. It compensates the lack of water by agitating and beating the clothes clean. The clothes come clean, however the agitator sounds like the croup cough when in cycle and the machine sounds like a Boeing 737 rumbling down the runway when in spin. My machine will now only wash in the Speed wash cycle and it's less than 3 years old. This machine needs to be used only in a basement, well insulated laundry room, garage, or other unoccupied space due to the extraordinary amount of noise it generates.

Poor Washing Machine (And Dryer)
Within a couple of months of receiving the transmission went out and dumped oil my floor. GE fixed it because of warranty. But now it makes squealing noises during the spin cycle. The machine goes wacko big time if it gets unbalanced which for some reason is quite often despite my being very careful distributing clothes evenly in tub. I would expect some kind of auto shut down when this happens but instead the stupid thing continues to barrel house through the laundry room. The matching dryer does a good job drying but it too makes a squealing noise as it tumbles. Both machines are noisier than average too. I have purchased an LG set from Home Depot and can't wait to get rid of these 2 piles of garbage.

I hate this GE washing machine GTW335
I bought this washer about a year ago. It is very hard on my clothes. There is something about the way it agitates that it twists the clothes into rope-like bundles that are hard to shake out to load in my dryer. It is always going off balance. I have owned washing machines for over 50 years so I know how to evenly load them; this machine has gone off balance more times in the last month than all of my other machines have in the last 50 years. And it spins the clothes so hard that they come out with wrinkles pressed in. I am very disappointed in this washer and wish I had never bought it. I will be buying a new machine and it will not be a GE.
