Works great!
Bought this to replace all 4 struts on a 1998 Monte Carlo Z34. It's heavy duty & worked like a champ. I recommend this.

Need the counter-hold to work
Update: 2/21/2016Ended up using the Volvo version of this tool since it was made to be a set with the counter-hold, and fit better. The Volvo version is taller and bigger. I used two 1/2 inch breaker bars, each extended to 42 inches to tighten the strut nut while holding the stem--I had no one to help so had to hold the stem while tightening--like spreading a scissor. It was too much force applied, and the counter-hold cut into the strut stem and gouged it, but I was able to tighten the strut nut, while on the car. The strong S-K breaker bar bent, but did not break--thankfully.The correct way was to have tightened the strut nut with the strut off of the car, and with the spring compressed--so that not as much force would be required, but I did not have the tool at the time. With the proper tools in hand, I was too lazy to dismount the struts and recompress the springs to make it easier to tighten, and also since I would have to do an alignment again.Lesson: Have the proper tools on hand before doing the job, otherwise so much additional work is required. This is the proper tool to use if you have a 24 mm strut nut--but having a proper counter-hold is essential and that was most difficult to find--I tried everything--vice grip and a wrench (10 mm) and a claw foot did not have the ability to hold nor the leverage. I have to resell this tool since the return period has expired. It is well made--I did not use it, only fitted it on to see. It is not helpful without the counter-hold.>>>>Have not used yet, since I do not have the counter-hold--which is back-ordered from Volvo for more than a month. I ordered the Volvo version of this tool as well--it is also back-ordered. Once I receive both, will be able to determine whether I use the Volvo version or this one. If the former, I will resell this, since too late to return.

This worked for my 2013 Chevrolet Spark, helped with the frontal struts. (Did not replaced the back ones but I'm sure it fits)

OTC 7544 24mm Strut Rod Nut Socket
Great tool to remove those 24mm strut nuts in strut mounts with no space for a box end wrench. The socket's outside 1/2 inch drive flange works with a 1/2 drive breaker bar, torque wrench or long ratchet while the opening in the center of the socket allows the use of a 10mm socket with another ratchet to hold the strut rod in place while removing / tightening the outer 24mm nut.I can put those vise grips away as this solves the problem of removing / installing the strut nut.
