better than I expected
I am studying philosophy in my retirement and this book is more than just an ordinary dictionary. It is more like a mini encyclopedia with easy to understand writeups for many of the complex topics in philosophy.

When ever I read any book that deals with philosophical topic, for example, epistemology, psychologism, or phenomenology; this tool of a book serves me great in all my mental discoveries, not only to understand the author but the contemporary subject itself! The book is great and gives clear definitions!

A New Book
This is an excellent book to study, because this book is newly updated. Also, there is new people and new information to study. Plus, this book connects to the Philosophy class at my college.

I regret buying this exercise in obfuscation
I spent many months reading this part-time. Many of the entries complicate and obscure rather than clarify the jargon/concepts. Even with an MA in philosophy of religion, I could not comprehend many of the entries. I’m better served by the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, The Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy, Dagobert Runes’s Dictionary of Philosophy, and other online resources. I admit that many of the entries are clear and useful, hence the three-star rating, meaning good. I also admit that those more highly trained in philosophy than I am will find the definitions more understandable than I do.

Kein e-book!
Das Wörterbuch an sich ist sicherlich gut, aber die elektronische Version ist nutzlos. Sie enthält keinerlei alphabetische Auflistung der einzelnen Artikel oder sonstige Hilfsmittel für das Suchen. Artikel zu Personen kann man über die Standardsuchfunktion finden, indem man "Familienname Vorname" eingibt, da diese Konstellation nur am Anfang des jeweiligen Artikels vorkommt. Bei allen anderen Suchen bekommt man (sehr langsam) eine scheinbar völlig ungeordnete Liste von jedem Vorkommen des Begriffs in dem ganzen Buch. Wenn ich auf der Weise rumblättern muss, dann doch lieber auf Papier.
