111MedCo 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Treatment Cleansing Bar, Maximum Strength Medicated Face & Body Soap‑Free Bar for Stubborn Breakouts on Face, Chest and Back, 4 oz

I like this soap. Used for almost 2 months now. I use with a long Korean exfoliating towel to get my back and it’s definitely helped with keeping my back acne under control. Use in shower on my face as well, and haven’t had any acne on my face either but I’m older and haven’t had much face acne for many years but I can definitely feel it’s suppressing acne on my face as well, and as I said wherever I use on my body. Hasn’t done much to reduce acne already there. But has definitely suppressed new acne from forming and acne already there haven’t gotten worse or enlarged which is often a problem with many acne meds/cleansers for me. For example salicylic acid cleaners tend to make my acne worse and irritate my skin. Most benzoyl peroxide creams also. Not this soap. My skin feels ever so slightly drier(not at all in a bad way)and less oily. As I saw other commenters say, it seems to control body odor well too. If I have a complaint, it’s this: the bar dissolves too easily in the shower. I feel like a third of the bar gets wasted from just the shower water hitting it and melting it away. Do not have it sit in any place where water pools, or you’ll come back to find half of it melted. Wish it stayed more solid and less Melty. But otherwise I’m a fan of this soap. Wish I had in my teenage years. Wouldn’t have had all the acne and all the little hyperpigmentation acne scars I do today. Not irritating, clean, doesn’t bleach clothes or fabrics like creams, leaves skin feeling clean and not horribly dry, controls new acne formation. Controls body odor as well as most deodorant soap. I recently tried a retinol soap that seemed to make body-odors noticeably worse so that’s not nothing. Easy to use like any shower soap. Hope they don’t stop manufacturing because I’ll use this soap from now on.

I have been using this on my face and body. I’ve noticed a difference in reducing breakouts and lightening dark spots I also like that it isn’t too harsh of a product. I was using it twice a day and it wasn’t damaging my skin barrier

I love this soap. I had been using Panoxyl but they either discontinued the 10% bar or my area seems to only offer the 5% bar (if they offer the bar at all) and the 10% cream face wash - which was difficult to find - the 5% was easier. Buying Panoxyl over the internet over a generic brand is ridiculous given the vastly differing prices. Took me a while to find this one and I'm so glad I did. Really great at killing bacteria, foams pretty well for a bar, cleans quite well - if you're not careful it could dry your skin out. I would not recommend using it every day - especially if you have sensitive or dry skin. It will definitely dry your skin out if you use it every day. The most I use it is every other day (a lot of the time I use it in conjunction with a less drying soap). I don't necessarily use it all over the body (though I often do). I recommend using it in your armpits, feet, behind the knees, your back, butt and potentially your face. I apply the soap and let it sit at least a minute - preferably like 5 minutes. That way it can really do what it says on the tin. If you apply and just rinse off immediately it doesn't really have a chance to activate and do the good stuff.I have even found that just using this in my arm pits makes it so I don't have to use antiperspirant or deodorant. And it lasts a decent amount of time per the cost and size of the bar.

Works better than the cream from another brand I used. Foams well when used on a shower poofy applicator. Does dry skin out if used too much so I recommend 3x a week.

12/05/23 Update: I didn’t want to give up on this because it saves me so much time and money and is still the closest thing that has gotten me almost off completely Proactiv. I now use this once face bar once in the mornings after waking up with Neutrogena’s water based moisturizer and I use Proactiv once before going to bed also with Neutrogena’s water based moisturizer. There are days now when I just use the face bar in both the mornings and the evenings and I can go a couple days without using Proactiv. I upped this to 5-stars from 4-stars and have become a regular customer for this product.03/12/23 Update: I went back to Proactiv. I use this face bar when I oversleep or am just tired of having to do Proactiv's 3 step process, plus the additional step for moisturizer. The bar was overall working fine but then I starting to really break out again. I still recommend but for me personally, I use sparingly, maybe once a week and again, only when I'm short on time or just don't want to have to use Proactiv.I'm a 33 year old male and have been using Proactiv since I was around 19. It's expensive and time-consuming but it works so I kept using it. I've tried other products over the years of course but none of them worked well. So far this has been working pretty well. It's only been a week but I haven't had any massive breakouts. I have some new acne here and there which makes sense since I'm still in the adjustment phase. All I use with this is Neutrogena's water-based moisturizer. I've also paired it with some new healthy habits that I've been keeping up with such as cutting my caffeine intake in half and getting consistent 7-8 hours of sleep a night. I'm not sure if this product truly works yet but I'll definitely keep at it for the next 6 weeks and update. The best about this product is that it's budget friendly and it saves me so much time now. I went from 4-steps to 2-steps and now have an extra 40-50 minutes a day (that's combined morning and evening skincare routine).

I'm so in love with this soap its not even funny lol i have HS and i use this when i get flares or right before i feel them coming and when i mean this stuff goes to work on it i mean that. when i get flares i use this daily and within about 3-4 days the pain is gone and the flare is going away, mixing this with clindamycin gel has been doing wonders for me i highly recommend this product also I've been ordering and using for over a year before adding the clindamycin to the routine so yea....

what in the heezy?!?; I can't speak on if it works yet or not but like obviously quality control took the day off lol. just opened this but have had it for months . it still good expires in 2028 soooo I dunno but a sliver is missing. at first I thought it was the design of the bar lol I've only used panoxyl this far. anyway if it works I'll order again but yes on me for not opening it sooner .

It’s really strong soap but at the same time it didn’t strip your skin off! Smells exactly like a normal dove soap! Better than panoxyl cleanser! it gave me a better results!

Noticeable difference in bacne control but this bar dissolved really quick; much faster than the average bar of soap of a similar mass. It works but at this price it's an expensive treatment.
