I am a big fan of Ravensburger puzzles. They are basically the only brand of jigsaw puzzle I buy. This puzzle is a fun challenge in that once you have the border completed--because that's how everyone starts, right?--you can pick up pieces and place in them in the general area each animal is located.There are definitely some animals that are more difficult to complete than others, and the black border around each is a good challenge at the end of the puzzle. There are enough separate pictures that I never memorized where they were, so there was a lot of scanning going on!This kept me pleasantly busy and engaged for about three weeks, working on it for 30-45 minutes in the evenings after work and a bit longer on the weekends.As always, good quality pieces, minimal puzzle dust, and pieces that stick together once joined.I'm a bit of a jigsaw puzzle snob, and this Ravensburger puzzle fully meets my expectations. Highly recommended!

This puzzle continues our appreciation for Ravensburger's consistent quality. The various shapes of pieces fit well together, which is why we gave it 5 stars for "easy to assemble." However, the black areas, as well as many similar brown shades, presented challenges; definitely not boring! The beautiful photos of 99 animals were the reward as we worked, and when it was finished.

The puzzle I received came in a box that was not the one featured on the site. The box on the site showed a National Geographic logo, this had none. It also came without a poster, which I thought was normal for 1000 piece puzzles. The box looks like a Ravensberger puzzle but I have not opened it as I am debating returning it.

This was a great puzzle. My table size limits me to 1000 piece puzzles so I try to find more challenging ones and this fit the bill. I'm a long time Ravensberger fan! They make great puzzles.

Bought this as a gift and they loved it.

??? Why is this so small? And the box doesn’t look like the picture advertised. It doesn't have the correct "national geographic" label, and it doesn't say there is a poster, which will make this puzzle impossible with such a tiny box. I suspect this is not authentic Ravensburger. And now I don’t have a gift for my mom 😢

There are some sneaky color changes and lots of 'hairy' browns that keep you guessing until the end!!! Lots of fun--and some animals we still don't know what they are!!! :)

Looks a lovely puzzle, I do many, but this one is just a bit too difficult to be fun.quality is good though

This was a lot of fun to do and actually quite challenging. Laid it out on the table and each family member did a bit here and there until it was complete in 3 days.
