not for 76 johnson 9.9
I ordered this for a 1976 9.9 Johnson outboard. In the description they said its the correct size but it is not. Promised the kid I would take him to the lake that weekend so I used a metal shears to cut about an 1/8 inch off all the way around. Not the correct way of doing things but it worked and its pumping water through. Got the motor from my dad and the OEM part lasted this many years. Found out its because I always disconnect the fuel line and run the motor out of the water to empty the carburetor of fuel and to get lake water out of the jacket, only do that while the motor is submerged.

You can do it!
I followed the instructions on youtube.com step by step and accomplished putting in this impeller in less than an hour start to finish. It cooled my engine down right away.
