A Classic That Still Gets You Thinking
A Classic That Still Gets You Thinking This is one of those books that has been around forever for a reason. The core message is not really about getting rich overnight; it is about being deliberate about what you want, setting a clear goal, believing you can work toward it, and taking consistent action instead of just wishing for a different life. I especially liked the emphasis on purpose, persistence, and surrounding yourself with people who help you think bigger. The writing is easy enough to follow in small sections, and it is the kind of book that makes you pause and reflect rather than rush through it. A few things to keep in mind: it was originally written many decades ago, so some language and examples feel dated. The stories about famous industrialists are also not meant to be taken as a modern financial blueprint. I got more out of it by treating it as a mindset and goal-setting book, not literal advice on investing or business success. Bottom Line: A worthwhile, motivating classic with timeless ideas about focus and persistence. Read it with a modern perspective, and there is plenty here to take away.

Good writing
Very thoughtful advice on how to get rich. I enjoy reading the personal experience from this Author of how he learned to get rich, and who his mentors were. Intriguing read but I still have to finish it.

A must-read classic for mindset and success
This is truly a book that everyone should read at least once in their lifetime. Think and Grow Rich goes beyond just teaching about money—it completely changes the way you think, approach challenges, and see opportunities. It helps you understand finances, mindset, and the power of positive thinking in a very practical way. I first read it online about three years ago, and even then, it made a big impact on me. When I found it on Amazon, I decided to buy a physical copy because this is the kind of book you want to keep on your shelf, highlight, and revisit every now and then. Each time you read it, you discover new lessons and deeper insights that you might have missed before. It’s a timeless classic that guides you not only toward financial success but also personal growth and mental strength. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to open their mind, expand their vision, and build a foundation for long-term success in life.

Timeless classics
“Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill has been a guiding light for me during one of the most challenging phases of my life. As a nursing student, a new parent to an 11-month-old, and someone balancing work and living with my in-laws, I needed a source of direction. Hill’s principles gave me the clarity to stay focused, be more aggressive in my work approach, and ensure I follow every policy and procedure with detail. Beyond that, it’s sparked my drive—especially with my child—to stay financially informed and resilient. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking a practical yet profound push toward success.”

Brought something Ive missed for a long time
Let me first start not writing about the book, but my own story. I am a freshly graduated civil engineer, 23 years old, with exceptional academic skills. For a long time, of about 5 or so years I havent felt any sort of passion at all. I achieve well in university? People achieve much less and jump out of joy but I feel... Nothing. I graduate with an exceptional gpa. My parents are proud but me? I feel nothing. I went through rough things in life that have sucked the passion out of me. In addition, I was unemployed since my few months ago graduation. With so much time on my hand, my brain starts up the routine negative thinking. I look for employment but I dont put any passion into it. I try to lose weight but I feel 0 motivation or passion about it. Of course, this leads me to the point of not caring. One day, on thursday to be exact I was going to the movies with my little brother. On the way I thought I'd stop by the book store. While looking I found Napoleons book. I read about it before but I never felt the need to buy it. Curious, I read the preface. My only thoughts at the time was "This author is making ridiculous claims. I mean get rich based on a handful of tips? Duh". The book was ridiculously priced because I live far from the US. It cost about $20. Amazon kindle on the other hand was only $1 so I thought what the heck whats $1. Let me see what this books all about. Coming from someone who read a couple of motivational books before, I did not have much hopes but I thought I owe it to myself to attempt a serious read before judging an author who sold millions of copies and so I did that. Boy was I in for a surprise. While reading the preface and the introductionary chapter, I started to feel this book is the real deal. My goal was not to get rich, it was to take care of my health. Thats the most important thing to me right now, followed by getting employed. By the end of the 1st chapter about desire, I felt something had changed in me. You see, napoleons book is about getting rich, but it is so much more than that. I felt the passion I had lost had finally come back to me. I developed a burning desire to lose my weight and get employed. By the end of that day, I promised myself I would not just apply to a job tomorrow, I will land an interview with that company. Following my immense desire, I felt unnatural confidence creep to me. As if the world cant stop me getting this job interview. I went to a company and I boldely asked to meet a senior engineer of theirs thaf I met once for a university project. "He is on lunch break" said the receptionist and I calmly replied "I will wait". 10 minutes later he is back into the office and I say to him: "Mr Mohamed, I would like to talk to you for a few minutes in private". He takes me to the conference room. I opened with "I remember one thing you told me a year ago about integrity". Long story short, we talked for 50 minutes. At the end he asked me what my career plans are and I told him "I would like to work for you and learn from you". He offered me his own personal recommendation for the job. Going back home I felt like jumping out of my seat with joy. I was ridiculously happy and yelling like a mad man. It was not because I was getting a recommendation from a guy who does not even know me, but more about the fact that I satisfied the burning desire I developed from reading the first chapter of the book. I finally felt passionate about something again. End of the story? Nope. A day after that meeting (2 days since reading the first chapter), I got a phone call at 9 am. The general manager of that company wants to meet me at 10:30 am. I went to that meeting today and although I do not know the outcome, I feel that the same approach will solve whatever problem I face and I will get whatever I want. The mind knows what to do most of the time it just needs the hunger and drive to do it. Although Napoleon passed away a long time ago, I only wish he could have renamed his book to "Think and Grow in whatever the hell you want". From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Let no one tell you NOT to buy this book!
Stop and ask yourself: How did anyone, anywhere, at any time, do something so incredible that history will remember only them for it? You might try to separate each great person in history as being separate cases, each with different reasons; Napolean Hill disagrees. He sought to explain how great people become great. How the impossible ever became possible. This book is an explanation of the science behind success itself. It's basically a bible for your life if you live off success like most people. I'm going to re-read this every January I imagine. It's too relevant to my life for me not to annually remind myself of it's teachings. As much as I'm up-selling it, and as much as it deserves to be up-sold to everyone, everywhere; I had to take a star off of my review due to a good portion of the book being the writing ranting about conversations between business men. I get that the writer was obsessed, but he let it flood too far into the pages. As someone reading this, wanting to hear more about the science of success and the rules it underlines; I'm really not interested in several pages describing a handful of men talking about business proposals. "They sounded crazy when they said it, I get it, get a move on" I thought a few times while reading, but otherwise that's a very acceptable con in light of the pros to this book. Pros: + Learn a set of guidelines for your life which will invariably help you better yourself. This isn't divination, and it's not religion: this is the science of success incarnate, and it is fact. You can not discredit it; only yourself by denying it. + Not too long, not too short. The book isn't big by any standard, so anyone should be able to read it through. It's also not so small that it leaves you feeling like it's missing something. It's the optimal length in my opinion. + Countless examples are provided to give better context to the lessons it underlines. There are sections where the book will instruct you to take up certain habits, and it will also take time to explain them so you know why you're being instructed in the first place. Cons: - As I said; the writer goes on a few tangents. Times where he starts up a story about some person making some decision to do something so incredible that we need to hear about it in grave detail for a few more pages. Again, I get that the writer was enthralled with these stories, but when making a book strictly about the science behind them: it's a better idea to stay on topic as consistently as possible. Bottom Line: Buy this book if you want to succeed at anything in life. It offers the best birds eye perspective on how success actually works, versus how we're brought up to believe it does.

Always a great read worth the investment
Everyone starting out in life should read this book, I believe it's foundational learning that should be taught in our school systems. Old information that is still applicable even in our age of technology. Copy arrived great, front and back of cover are mint as well as the inside. Great gift for someone interested in entrepreneurship or even just in general if they like to read.
