These are by far the best solar lights I have bought, and I have bought a lot. It is 6:45 am and they are still on as bright as last night at dark. I am so happy with these that I am going to order their other flame lights. These come with a clip chain to hang them, which is great. I am very impressed with these lanterns! My husband couldn't believe how nice they are. I recommend these to anyone looking to update their yard, walkway or entrance to their house.

The wildfire danger has been very high this summer. My husband is afraid that, because these lanterns look so much like flames, our neighbors will have the fire company at our house! We love them!

These were a bit of a surprise. I'm really starting to enjoy solar lights. I just tried out eight stake lights for a dark spot in my garden and while you certainly cannot host a party with them, you can walk along the garden path that they border without stumbling around or needing a torch. But those lights are bright white and these are "Flame" lights and I wasn't sure what to expect. They arrived well packaged. I opened the box, took them out and turned them on so they would charge. Brought them outside and just placed them on tables on patio to get sun. I haven't attached the hanging clips yet. Once dusk arrives, they give off an undulating yellow orange red light, not wimpy either! Not really great for general lighting but they do have a wonderful warm accent. I've decided to place them between my 3 mini witches (3' tall or so) this Halloween season - they'll illuminate them a bit more than the led string I use for that area, plus they'll give off that witchy glow. In November, I'll find another place to put them because they are weirdly wonderful.EDIT: Well, I placed the two lanterns inside of planter that looked like a cauldron and surrounded them with some leftover pieces of open work wicker fencing - leaving the tops open to the sun. They looked like a real fire and almost expected a neighbor to call it in to Fire Dept. They lasted throughout the whole Halloween season, I liked them so much I brought them into my backyard, placed them in my portable fire pit with the same wicker surround and every night I would look out and see a wonderful firelit pit flickering away. One night I noticed it wasn't as bright and when I checked found that one of the lanterns had stopped working. Brought it inside and found out it wasn't a dirty panel but that the battery was no longer working and it wasn't replaceable. The second lantern soldiered on but eventually died out this past month (March 2019). I do love these lanterns and their flame effect but I am sorry to have to edit my review. For this price the batteries should last a little longer than 7 months; or make them "replaceable"; or charge less. So 5 stars for the lighting effect and 1.5 stars for the longevity of product. Overall I would no longer recommend this item. Too bad, I did love the flame effect.

First, let me start with stating that these look great. However, back in February, I noticed that one of the lamps was no longer working. I figured the batteries had gone bad so yesterday, almost a year to the day from when I received them, I decided to open up the bad unit and check the batteries.SURPRISE!, When you open the unit up, you can only access the on/off switch. The section of the lamp that houses the batteries and controls is glued so it can not be accessed without breaking the lamp. That means that once the batteries no longer hold a charge, these are done.While I love the way these look, my experience is that they have a 50% failure rate and are not repairable.
