I recently purchased two harnesses (size med) for our two Jack Russell Terriors, who move around a LOT in the car. This is a very well made harness, and the seatbelt latch makes it very easy to secure. The Medium fit them well around the body. The harness is very well made and sturdy, and I was able to adjust it for their shorter length bodies. I also cannot say enough about their Customer Service team. One of the two harnesses I had purchased came with a bit of a defect in one of the straps, and didn't fit quite right. Upon contacting PawPrince Customer Service, not only were they responsive and courteous, but they immediately issued me a refund, and sent out a replacement. I had read the reviews of others having positive experience with their Customer Service, which was part of why I chose to order this product, and why I hope this review helps others. They truly want you to be happy with the purchase, and more importantly, want your dogs to be safe and secure. Our dogs now sit very well in their respective places, and we all enjoy the ride a bit more.

This is one of the most well made and useful products I have ever purchased. My dog truly is a member of our family, and I love to take her in the car with me just as much as she loves to go. But I've always had to keep an eye on her to be sure the back window was up high enough that she wouldn't attempt to jump out of the car or to warn her of an impending fast stop. Now I just harness her in and put my attention where it should be: on my driving. And she still loves the ride!My only concern before ordering was whether I was ordering the correct size, as I saw so many comments about the sizes running small or large. I think the only discrepancy is in the chart: the actual sizes don't seem to fit the dogs pictured. My dog is medium-sized, a 35-pound mixed terrier. I ordered a "medium" harness, and it fits her perfectly. I doubt it would fit a dog much smaller, because I tightened it down almost as far as it would go to fit my dog snugly. It can, however, be let out to accommodate a little larger dog. (I've included a photo of my Lucy wearing her new medium harness.)The harness goes on easily by slipping the shoulder/neck portion over the dog's head, then placing the well-padded chest piece against the dog's chest and snapping the adjustable girth around the dog's belly. A separate adjustable strap attaches to a ring in the garment on the dog's back; the other end simply snaps into the car's seat belt assembly.The harness also can be used with a leash for walking.There is a lot of followup by the company, so I am certain that if I had had a problem, they would be right there for me. However, my experience has been perfect so far!

My initial one star review seems to have vanished. I am increasing the rating from one star to 3 not because of the quality of the product but because of the level of customer service. This product is NOT suitable for larger dogs. I broke the initial harness while walking by dog to the car for the first time. She is an 85 pond Great Pyr and pulls a little. (Not a lot, but she is 85 pounds) The harness is nylon and sewn in various spots and that is not the problem. The problem is the buckles and the metal pieces. They are both undersized and cheap. Those pieces would be ok if I didn't have a larger dog.The sizing of the harness was fine, I don't understand the other reviewers complaints.When I posted my one star review earlier I also emailed the seller. My initial complaint was that the packaging was opened and the seat belt clip had fallen out. The seller offered me a complete replacement and included the dog travel water and food bowl set free as a gift for my troubles. I like the water and food bowls much better than the harness. I hope the replacement harness survives my cross country trip with my dog this weekend. I bought another harness (Kong) which is much more sturdy but it is designed differently. I wish the two companies would meet and create a harness for large dogs that is designed for car riding.

I recently purchased a harness for my dog. I was looking for a product to keep him secure in the car when traveling because he likes to move around a lot. This product works nicely. I received the harness within 2 days of purchasing the product - while the harness fit nicely, the strap around his body was too small. I decided to reach out to PawPrince to ask if i could just buy a strap because the large harness would be too big for his chest. Not only were they very responsive and courtesy, but they offered to ship me a large harness, so that i could make sure my dog is not only comfortable, but also secure in the car. I am excited to use this product frequently. I am happy with my purchase and will recommend this product to anyone looking for a harness for their dog.

Great harness! I have a Corgi/Sheltie mix, 43 lbs and I ordered the medium. I have the straps fully extended for the neck and about a third extended on the straps for the around the body and it fits great. I do suggest you take the measurements and look at the guide because I can see how having the right fit for both around the neck and then around the body makes a difference. Mine was close on the neck and plenty of room on the body.I can't tell you how much the quick clip into the existing seat belt is so cool! I leave that attachment in the car and even with an excited dog (It is ride time after all) it doesn't take a lot of fiddling around to get her secured. Once clicked in she is safe and comfortable. She can lay down, sit up to take in the sights, but doesn't roam around or become a distraction. The one click into the car seat belt is the best part, no messing around with trying to loop it thru the straps.
