The Class 1 Division 2 LED Exit Sign is designed for use in hazardous locations. This Class 1 Division 2 (Groups A, B, C and D rated) exit sign includes battery backup and comes standard as a single-sided unit which is capable of back (wall) or top (ceiling) mounting. The Class 1 Division 2 exit sign is ideal for industrial locations where explosive gas or vapors could accidentally be introduced to the working environment The Class 1 Division 2 exit sign is offered with choice of red or green letters, as well as single and double-sided configurations. This model can be shipped in less than two weeks and is available for expedited production time and shipping options. This Class 1 Division 2 LED Exit Sign includes a self-diagnostic, automated self-testing which eliminates maintenance requirements while satisfying OSHA requirements. All fixtures come with a top (ceiling)/back (wall) mounting bracket. Construction The Class 1 Division 2 exit sign is constructed with a 1/8" thick aluminum backplate that will not dent, peel or corrode. The 'EXIT' faceplate is made of polyvinyl chloride, and includes a gasket that prevents liquid or gas ingress to the sign. Tamper resistant screws seal the faceplate to the backplate, creating a seal around the battery, circuits and LED strip inside. Battery This Class 1 Division 2 exit sign model includes a rechargeable Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd) battery pack. It provides emergency backup power to the exit sign for at least 90 minutes, and only requires 48-hours to fully recharge. Ni-Cd batteries have the highest heat tolerance compared to other emergency batteries.
