Hilarious owners manual
I had to write a review about this because I can't stop laughing! I opened the manual, and was not expecting to be entertained. This is clearly not from the US, and did not translate well. So many grammatical mistakes throughout the whole booklet, that it's actually difficult to understand. A snippet: "There be risk of explosion!" (Read in a pirate voice). On a serious note, this seems to be a great product. I just received it, so I cannot attest to its abilities yet, other than a few test shots that blinded my husband. When bouncing the light off of the ceiling, it lit our entire living room.

One of the best flashes I've used in awhile
I've used a lot of various flashes for my canon 6D and I have to admit. For it being one of the financially cheaper ones. It's also one of the best. Beginners would also be able to use this flash since it's fairly straight to the point. And just because it only bends 90 degrees, don't get discouraged. It rotates, so you can have the light bounce the way you want to. Great product

Nice simple flash for manual settings.
First, this flash has no simple automatic exposure mode, it's strictly for manual setting of flash power. Second, it's a great low price and is very versatile for both on-camera and off-camera uses. It's best used in situations where you can take a couple of test shots and adjust the flash power to be exactly right.I tested it using both the onboard optical trigger in both S1 and S2 modes, and with external triggering in Manual mode using the PC Sync terminal with a separate radio trigger system I already had. It worked as expected in all cases. It comes with a small plastic stand that also has a 1/4-20 threaded (also plastic) hole underneath. It has a slip-on diffuser and a built-in wide angle panel and small retractable bounce card.It also has an unpadded and very thin velvetine pouch to protect against scratches but nothing more forceful than that. The manual is really terrible and they should employ someone fluent in English to rewrite it.The main concern with durability would be the battery door. I've only closed it once when installing the first batteries. I'll try to keep the opening and closing cycles on this to a minimum as it seems to be the most fragile sounding and feeling part when using it.If you need an inexpensive manual strobe for both on and off camera use that can be triggered in a number of ways, I recommend this unit at this price or even better if you can get it on a special.Static situations like product photography or a headshot station are ideal for simple manual strobes like this.

Survived snow and rainstorm!
OMG! I need to brag about this flash!!! I accidentally left it outside the very first time I used it. I was photo shooting my kids (super distracting). Anyway, it laid on a table outside, next day was a snow storm that lasted 3 days followed by 2 days of rain. I didn’t realize till about 2 days after all that. I was so mad (at myself) afraid it was ruined, but it works perfectly! Not saying it’s waterproof, as that may not happen for everyone, but this is really well made!

Wonderful flash for the price
I have no complaints. I am not a prolific user of flash units but this works very well for the routine purposes I need. I occasionally use it for macro photography, or event photography.

So Far, so Good
I've been surprised by it. It's amazing how it works and does such a great job for me. I'm not professional, major league photographer, rather amateur so I don't know what to compare it to but I'm definitely happy with it. As a matter of fact, I just recently purchased a tripod from them (Geekoto), and I'm happy with it as well.

Hot Shoe Fit
I purchased this GN38 speed light with LCD display for my Canon t6i , but this is not compatible with my camera. The hot shoe has one pin where the one I need has 5 pins. I gave this product only 3 stars as I don't know how it works and because the seller claimed it would work for my camera. It is very difficult to determine which speed light to purchase by viewing the products online, so a word of advice, do not trust what the seller claims, do a lot of research to save yourself trouble. Fortunately for me the seller was responsive to my complaint so I was able to get a speedie refund and after doing more research on compatible lights I was able to get the correct one for my camera.

Welp, I got what I paid for...
What a piece of JUNK!Single pin shoe. Zero features. It goes *blink*, and that's it! That's all it does. The slave eye is pretty weak too. I use this as my last resort slave flash. Not worth throwing out, but it's not really worth using either. Also there are 3 more brands out there with the same model with a different name.
