Great goggles: light, comfortable, and maneuverable.
I was suspect that these Goggles would be good, since the price is so low. I am pleasantly surprised at how well they work, in addition to being light, comfortable, and allowing me to get into tight spaces and weld, where my regular helmet won't fit. Read the short instructions and play with the settings for a minute and you'll be welding in no time. The "shade" dial was odd to me, since there's just a min and max labelled - no shade numbers like 10, 11, etc. Only took a minute to set it where I wanted for the amperage I was using. I'm also very impressed with the color. Their "true color" is not just a marketing line. The color while shaded is much better than my expensive helmet. Did some TIG welding on my car's X frame - it's a tight spot that I was able to work on easily with these Goggles. If you need to get in tighter than even the mask will allow, detach it and use the goggles only with a balaclava or headsock.Update: it’s been over 4 years since I bought these welding goggles, and I still absolutely love them and use them all the time. I haven’t pulled my more expensive welding helmet out of its bag in all this time of owning these. I am so impressed of the quality at this price point, and I haven’t even had to replace the battery yet. Sometimes you get more than you pay for. This is one of those times. Couldn’t be happier.

Great mask if you need to access tight spots

Additional tools required, not user friendly, works good
So I purchased this Item to carry in my vehicle for Trail repairs only. I had a hitch I needed to weld so I decided to give it a try. It came in a nice box and a storgae bag. For me if the box was more robust and had a Velcro closure it would have lived in it forever to protect it. Anyway I saw that there was a battery included so I figured it needed to be installed. The battery compartment is secured by a double OO Philips screw. Found a small screwdriver to open and found there was a battery already installed . The screw is micro small and not retained. If you were in the desert and dropped it would never be found. Anyway found the dropped screw and reinstalled. The power switch is also stupid small and recessed to were you need a tool to stick inside the opening to operate. Not user friendly so far. Well I went to place the goggles over my reading glasses. Yes they do fit but must be massaged past the seal around your eyes. Also now easy to remove. I was impressed by the clear view. Really impressed actually. Got a text on my phone and could read it but it would increase shade every time you looked at the phone. Reflection I think. Started welding with it set to max filter. Too dark. Lightened up a little and worked well. Very happy with its performance actually. 1. I think it will work well for its purchased intent. 2. Small size. 3. Marginal storage container for real world use. 4 Required additional tools to keep with it. 5 stupid small unrestrained battery screw and no spare screws. 6. spare lens purchased didnt include inside lens and spare screws. 7. Requires carrying spare battery. 8. Adjustments worked fine for me. 9. On / off switch requires tools to operate, 10. Difficult with glasses. not user Freindly at all. 10. Surprisingly good optics. So if you could operated and change batteries without tools this would be a great welding goggle. Outstanding to use once you get past that. This should NOT be your primary welding protection, but for emergency use its size justifies its inconvenience for me. Ive been welding for 45 years. Primary hood is a Lincoln

Good Purchase, Good Price
So I bought these YES WELDER Auto Darkening Welding Goggles Specifically for a job I was doing because I could not fit in the 12" Stainless tube with my Miller helmet. They worked Perfectly and I was super happy with them, They fit Great, Auto shade works great, adjustable shade and sensitivity adjustment. I had to tig weld a baseplate on the inside of a 12" ID tube down 36" the only thing I would tell you is you need to were a mask to cover your face, I used a ski Mask with a small opening for the eyes and it works great! Perfect for automotive exhaust welding.

Well worth the money!
This set of welding goggles worked flawlessly, as long as you remember to turn them on. At the price I purchased them for they have already paid for themselves!

Such a GREAT Welding Mask!
So I'm new to welding and I had an ol' hand-me-down welding helmet that I just could NOT see through. It really affected my welds.Got fed up so I decided to try these out and let me tell ya...it is a world of difference! I can clearly see, even in dark spaces under my car, and then when I start to weld...BOOM! The lens gets dark, but not too dark that I can't see my weld pool. The only thing I can say, like other reviews I've read, is the nose piece is uncomfortable. Honestly though, it's not bad enough that it doesn't deserve 5-stars. I will be recommending these to anyone and everyone I know who welds.

A lot of really good, with a lot of really bad
Easily my favorite kind of welding shield, I find myself putting these on with my hard hat, and field of view is so wide and clear, I feel perfectly safe walking around the jobsite without taking them off.I like that I never have to worry about glare from behind me, obscuring my view of the work, the cutting settings a plus that I'm having a hard time finding on other goggles, I can keep smoke and dust from getting in my eyes. The bad, IF they "fixed" the nose bridge problem, there's still a ways to go. That spot can get real sore after all day welding. They tend to fog up, especially if it's cold outside, so I had to drill some holes inside the mask to keep my view clear as the winter starts up. The front lens protector? It is not sealed well at all, I'm finding myself pulling it out and cleaning the dust from it and the auto darkening glass a couple times a day, and the screen has gotten a few sparks leaving permanent burns that will ultimately result in me getting a new shield whenever the last protector screen is done. The bad sucks so bad, but the good is just so good too, it's really hard to find another shield that checks all the good boxes that this one does without all the bad that came with it. I'll probably order another one, but this time make a lot of modifications.

Excellent Value!
I rarely use anything other than one of my full face hoods but they are so large and clumbersome that there are situations you just can't fit them in. These goggles allow me to get my head to where I can see. Before these I would have to inch my mig gun or stick as close as I could get it to the areas to be welded and then close my eyes amd hope for the best, results were not what I wanted. With these goggles I can keep my eyes on where I am about to weld and most importantly watch my bead as I weld. If area is really tight I can remove the face shield and use on the goggles. I keep a set if these in my shop and on my truck. They are also very comfortable so you don't end up throwing them in the bottom of your tool box because they are a pain in the @## to use, you actually like them and put them to use regularly. For the small price they are a great investment.

Works very well
If you need to get into small spaces where the big welding mask will not let you go, then this is it. Just remember you may get an unwanted tan if you're just using the goggles and ditching the full face cover. It looses 1 star do to the fitment of the rubber cushion to the face. It likes to sit where it wants to sit not where I want it to. For full comfort outside of tight spaces I just go back to my full size Miller helmet. Setting are easy to adjust and the on off switch is nice to have. My Miller helmet has a auto on feature that can drain battery power so the physical on off switch is perfect.
