These are EXACTLY as pictured. Very good quality, very smooth. I've made 5 pair of earrings with them. They accept glue and acrylic paint very well. I will be purchasing again.

These are good if you need to practice burning/etching items. It does have a very thin veneer over some other wood (?). It shows black and white pretty well. Shades of grey are hard to get right because of the thinness of the veneer.
