LOOK NO FURTHER ...THIS IS THE ONE!!!
I have had a few air mattresses...because of my work...I use them frequently and on a daily basis...this mattress is by far one of the best i've ever had....last year my favorite one I had for years which was a aero bed...finally bit the dust...I had purchased a sound sleep mattress from amazon and within a few months...it sprung leak...that I could not find...also developed some weird bubble...I did call the manufacturer and with no problem they sent me a new bed....I really appreciated the man who I spoke with and how he made my life easier by just sending a new bed out next day...but unfortunately...the second one lasted even less ...this time I found the leak...it was at the seams on the top where the "quilts" where its almost impossible to patch because the top is fuzzy...we watched a you tube video and sanded it and the whole 9 yards but the next day it sprung another leak on another seam...ugh...I wanted to like the bed because the guy at the place was so nice but truth be told...you always had to add air to it and they just were not built to last....so that brought me to this bed...I had used one once before for a few days and really liked it...and the price here on amazon was way cheaper than at Target for $200 so I decided to give it a try...now...they do offer a pillow top option for a little more money...which I thought was a good idea because I think that would help prevent leaks and add some comfortability to the product...but I wasn't impressed with the reviews on the pillow top...so I just decided to buy a pillow top on my own from amazon with better reviews...and I ended up with the Hospitology Heavenly Microfiber Goose Down Alternative Overstuffed Mattress Pad/Topper, 60-Inch by 80-Inch, Queen....it fits perfect and I love it...goes on easy...just adds a little added comfort...its not huge...don't get your hopes set on it being like a mattress...keep it in perspective and you will be fine...its just a quilted fitted sheet...which I feel help protects the mattress plus gives you more comfort then you would have with out it....definitely worth it in my opinion.... Now for the mattress itself..its a nice height...I believe the highest you can get in a regular air mattress 18"....it has an automatic pump...so you just plug it in and set the dial to the firmness you want...plush...medium...or firm...and let it go...it shuts off when its done...an awesome feature...since my other bed would just keep going...as do others and I think you can damage it if you over inflate a bed...so this is a great feature to have...its the same when you deflate it....which again....if you ever had a bed you have to shut off manually when deflating it...i have had mine overheat and shut off in a bad way...tho they still work after it rests a while. I personally like my bed firm...and it is firm...it feels great...you don't sink into the bed and wake up with a sore back...its FIRM...and thats just awesome... Now...this bed comes with a feature....(NEVER FLAT) that will refill air if any is lost...i'm just gonna tell you now...I think thats a hit or miss...I don't think mine works...not exactly sure how much air has to be lost for that to kick in...but I was able to hit the firm button manually and it was missing some air so clearly the feature never activated...to me...this is really a non issue...one...you have to keep it plugged in for that to work...and I don't really want to do that...and second....this bed really doesn't lose air like others....when you first inflate it...you may need to add air the first 2 days while it adjusts to being inflated the first time from being in a ball its whole life...but after that...it just a non issue....no matter if one or two people sleep on the bed...it maintains its air....my other bed lost some air pretty much every time you used it especially when 2 ppl slept on it... again...I have had NO issues with that and this bed.... overall...its just an amazing bed especially for people who need to use an air mattress long term...I can't even express how happy and impressed I am with it...and like I said...I have had experience with air mattresses for a few years now....and its just a great bed for an air mattress... the only thing that could make it better is if it had a head rest like my aero bed had...because thats a great feature...but you can't win them all...at least you get a good nights sleep without waking up in pain from sinking... I did contact amazon about the NEVER FLAT feature not working and they were awesome in refunding me a small portion as a resolution instead of returning it and trying again...which I felt was a great compromise..since that feature was a non issue to me ...but it was an advertised feature so I felt they should be held to a standard.... last purchase I made for this bed was a fitted sheet to go over the fitted pillow top sheet to keep the pillow top clean....this is the one I bought.... Utopia Bedding Fitted Sheet, Wrinkle, Fade & Stain Resistant, Hypoallergenic, Includes one Fitted Sheet (Queen, Black) it fit great...nice an deep.... I hope this review helps someone in making a decision...

Overall Good Price for This Air Mattress!
Update 2-15-2020: This mattress only lasted about 12 months due to a leak in the air pump. The last Serta mattress had the same problem in the air pump, but lasted five years. The manufacturer's warranty does say it's not for everyday use. Have decided to invest in a pro air mattress by Personal Comfort. For the cost, the Serta was worth trying for the short term. Compared to the original Serta air mattress bought over five years ago, it seemed like good quality for the cost. I use this as my primary mattress. I decided not to spend lots of money for a SleepNumber air matress and saw this as an alternative. I had to add a 1/2 inch plywood base to my queen bed frame for this mattress. I've used this for about 9 months and haven't been disappointed. The matress hasn't leaked either, which surprises me! I don't even have it plugged in for the backup pump to work. I needed a softer setting then Serta allows, so I let out more air to fit my body shape. Their softest or plush setting still made my lower arm ache when sleeping on my side, but I let out more air and is still very comfortable without having an aching back or arm. I'm hoping Serta offers a remote control with variable settings for this mattress in the future. Review updated on April 28, 2018: I've had several leaks (two caused by me when I added the baseboard and side runners), but fixed them with the adhesive mylar plastic strips sent to me by the seller. Tip: Use a hair dryer on hottest temp for about a minute after applying the strips over the leak. This will speed up the sealing process of the strips by several hours. The strips don't seem to seal without applying heat to them for best performance. After two hours, I inflated the bed with success! I've also had two leaks caused by the sideboard brackets rubbing on the mattress, but fixed them with the mylar strips too. I added Duct tape on the mattress across from the sideboard brackets, which resolved that rubbing problem. After four years of use, the mattress still works well and I'm still happy with this purchase. Plus I am a side sleeper and use the Plush adjustment level on the main air pump. The never flat backup pump still works well too. The internal air coil springs make the difference on the comfort across the entire mattress! Incidentally, I added Serta's four inch memory foam topper and cloth cover to this mattress for even more comfort. You can buy the package now with the memory foam topper. So I invested about $200 and sleep very well. Surprising, I don't get hot from the all plastic mattress by adding the four inch memory foam cover to the mattress which seems to make the difference! Update on 2/13/2019: After four 1/2 years of service, I discovered another leak coming from the pump selector switch. I couldn't repair this as it appears to be an integrated switch, so I purchased a replacement mattress with the same model. I've added a plastic sheet underneath the mattress with cardboard liners inside the side and back boards for added protection and reduce the rubbing effects. Hopefully, the replacement mattress will last as long as the original mattress. Overall I'm still very happy with this air mattress. So total investment is now about $350. Still a bargain, but not sure how this mattress would hold up with a couple.

Best Air Mattress Value : See Update Not the Quality Expected
I don't usually write reviews on products, however if I can help another out especially when it comes to indecision about which product to buy I will. First Pros and Cons: Pros: Solid built and very comfortable (even on plush setting very firm) No air leaks so far. Built in pump inflates mattress in about 4 minutes So far, the Never Flat pump has not turned on, at least haven't heard it Able to sit on the side of the mattress with shifting it or noise. Easy setup, very quick pump inflation. Very comfortable, sleeping better already. Cons: Not a true queen, I call it a fueen. Queen sheets and comforter are too large and drag the floor, but I can live with it. It's only 18 inches high. A few more inches would be perfect.(Down Ladies) Heavy, bag is big enough for packing, but it is heavy. So, after 2 days of trying to figure out which mattress to get, I settled on this one. Glad I did. Thus far no problems however I only sleep on it 5 out of 7 days a week because my work takes me out of town, and I didn't want to buy a box spring and mattress for my week apartment. I do have it placed on a carpeted floor which makes it even, if you place it on hardwoods I would suggest placing a throw rug underneath it. So, quick and easy setup, good solid mattress, different firmness settings, and Never Flat pump, my opinion would be purchase this mattress. Update 12-28-2018 . Just like clockwork this mattress was found flat after partial use exactly 1 year after I bought it. The never flat pump quit working, obviously not the quality I thought after my purchase. After inspecting the mattress for leaks, I was unable to find any weak areas, so it seems it doesn't seal adequately around the pump inflation area. Very disappointed with the purchase. Changing my review to a 1.

Money well spent!
I bought this mattress to take with me when I go see my kids and grand kids in another state. I was a bit hesitant after seeing a couple of the pics of defective products, but I decided to try it anyways since it was the most affordable mattress with the never leak feature. My only experience with air mattresses were a couple of cheap camping mattresses that left me laying on the ground by morning. My wife and I have made 2 trips, and used it for a total of 8 nights so far, and it has performed perfectly. Since we are usually sleeping in the living room, I have to put up and take down the mattress every day. Although a bit loud, the built in inflation pump has worked perfectly. The firmness of the bed was surprising to me. I was worried that it would be "squishy" or that if one of us moved the other would be bounced around, but that was absolutely not the case. I'm 6'5" and weigh 250, and my wife weighs about half that. For you tall guys, yes, my feet hang off, if I lay flat on my back, but if you're that tall, you're used to it anyways. If one of us gets up, yes, there is a slight drop , but the never flat pump kicks in and does a good job of getting the firmness back in just a few minutes. As is has been used more and more, it seems to drop less. I'm assuming this is the vinyl stretching, which, as I read, is normal for brand new mattresses. The never flat pump is super quiet, and isn't actually noticeable unless your ear is really close to the mattress. What you do hear is a soft humming. I can't hear it through a pillow. The flocked top seems to grab the sheets really well, so slipping and sliding around is not an issue (by the way, we use traditional queen sized sheets). Take down is a breeze, just click the deflate switch and in about a minute, you have a flat mattress. As its deflating, I do take care to try and flatten out any spots that look like they will pinch or crease to prevent pinholes as much as I can. The enclosed bag is great, as it is oversized. This means you don't have to fight to get it back into the bag. It also has a draw string and sturdy carry handles. I'm expecting to make many more trips, plus it will be our go to mattress when we have guests. I am expecting many nights of use from this mattress. Well worth the money!!

Fast to inflate, comfortable to sleep on
Bought this for my sister's visit during Christmas since she has problems with her back so my couch wasn't really an option. It has three firmness settings: Plush ("softer"), Medium, and Firm. I thought I would prefer the firm setting, since I love firm hotel beds, but we both actually preferred the Plush setting for sleeping. Hanging out and talking while sitting on the bed was better served with a firm setting. Plush doesn't mean overly soft; just that there is some give for those body parts you want it to give a little with. We removed the bed from the carry bag, spread the bed out on the floor, turned one dial to the firmness setting, and then the other dial to inflate. It only took a few minutes to inflate; very fast, the sound is a few decibels lower than the sound of most vacuum cleaners. The auto re-inflate also worked really well. My sister experienced it doing so while she was still awake, and it was very quiet; barely noticeable. I slept on it for a couple of nights to try it out and even though I tend to be a light sleeper, it didn't wake me up when it auto inflated. With the Plush setting, I did notice that when you are getting off of the side of the bed, some areas sort of "pop" back up, but that may be because all your weight is concentrated in that one area when sitting, as opposed to being distributed lengthwise on the bed while sleeping. There are some natural depressions in the top (see the product picture). Some users had recommended purchasing a mattress pad for that and other reasons and I was glad I had (I purchased the MALOUF Sleep Tite 18-Inch Deep Pockets Quilted Mattress Pad, Queen , for just under $30 or you can spend $20 more (about $50 total) and purchase the version of this bed that comes with a mattress topper for $199. I saved $20 by purchasing a separate mattress pad. I bought the Queen size since at the time I purchased it, it wasn't that much more expensive than the full size of a different brand. The Queen size is plenty big for two, and even though it took up precious space in my living room, it was worth it as it allowed her to spread out, keep magazines and other items on the bed in easy reach.

Worth the cost.
Most of the reviews I read before buying this air mattress were true. Not only is it unbelievably comfortable, but it also has one of the most sophisticated built-in air pumps I’ve ever seen which ensures that it always stays at the same firmness setting throughout the night. It’s as close to sleeping on a regular mattress that you can get with an inflatable.

Well worth it!!
First of all, I am writing this review after about 7 months (read this all the way through) because I wanted to give it a good try before reviewing it. Plus I had a problem with it to begin with. About a month after I bought it I noticed the Never-Flat pump kept pumping and then it became obvious I had a leak when I sat down one day and my butt hit the floor! I discovered there was a seam separation on the pillow top area. Well I was sooooo disappointed because the bed itself is fantastic!!! It is so comfortable and the pump is so quiet you have to put your ear right it to be able to tell if it is inflating. I have a very bad back so I was wondering if it might be aggravated by this bed, but on the contrary, my back actually felt BETTER than when I slept in my regular bed!!!! I was truly amazed! There are three settings and I set mine to firm. Anyway, I called customer service to get a refund (which I didn't want...I wanted my Serta bed back!) and they were so helpful and cooperative. I didn't have to send the bed back, they just had me cut out the Serta label, take a pix of it and email it back with a short explanation. I decide I would give it another try and asked for a replacement, in case it was just a fluke that the seam separated. They sent me my replacement in TWO DAYS! Am I glad I asked for the replacement because I have had it for 6 months now and there has never been any leaking. My Never-Flat pump never has to inflate because it is holding the air so well. I have my wonderful bed back!

Great warranty, but comes with problems
I purchased this bed a while back. Probably over a year ago. I will say this for the bed... It is super easy to use, just plug into the wall, turn the switch, and it automatically inflates and cuts off at the correct pressure. The silent pump is nice on a winter night as the temperature drops and the pressure in the bed gets lower, the pump kicks on and keeps the bed fully inflated, and its fairly quiet, not enough to wake a moderate sleeper. Lastly, its fairly comfortable. The bed has one more plus, but I will get to that after I talk about what I don't like. Here's the problem. After over a year of occasional use, the mattress separated from the pump control and was virtually useless as it would no longer hold air. Okay so back to the good. The mattress has an excellent 2 year warranty. I called a number on the product page and was then sent an email with directions on how to get it replaced. Within a week a brand new mattress arrived. But alas, another problem. This one, right out of the box had a small hole in the top pad of the mattress. No problem, followed the instructions and received a third mattress. This one was great right out of the box, but after about two uses the mattress separated from the pump control again. The mattress is still under warranty so I can still get a replacement, but it is getting a little tiresome. Wondering if it's the model of the mattress, or if I am just having terrible luck and getting all of the defective ones. Aside from my luck with the mattress, the seller has been most excellent and easy to work with.

If you are looking for a air mattress this is it!
If you are looking for a air mattress this is it! Bought this for a guest to sleep on for over 2 months. NEVER deflated. No problems, easy setup and easy to deflate and move around or vacuum if you want too. It's actually VERY comfortable to sleep on, I tried it out myself and my guests loved it. You do need a good sheet on it like I would recommend flannel as it does get a bit cold, but had no problems. Guest loved it said it was better than there own bed at home. The pump isn't too noisy at all - I noticed it only came on when you got out of bed, didn't seem to come on during the night at all. You can tell this is very good quality. As far as the size its a great height because honestly it just feels like a bed. 100% recommend.

The build quality is terrible.
I was excited when I unboxed it. It looked AND felt like a quality item. I slept on it a few times to try it out, it was comfortable enough for at least one person. With two short people of average weight (less than 300 lbs combined) it was a getting a little uncomfortable since you have to sleep in the center of the mattress or risk sliding off. All of this would have earned it at least 3.5 stars. Sadly the mattress started to leak at one of the seams, just we had family. It is past its one month return period, I have not choice but to repair it myself. With this mattress being a well known brand and with the price I paid, I would have expected better quality or at least a better warranty period. Update: I repaired the small whole with a bit o silicone and used the matress for a month and a half before ot developed a second leak around the main pump. I managed to partially repair it but after 30 seconds I can here the 'Never Flat' pump come on and stay on, meaning there is a slow leak some place. I have gotten about 2 months of use in 2 years our of this thing. Save your money buy something else. See pics of my repairsàà

Best air mattress ever made!
I cannot say enough good things about this air mattress. I have gone through 3 active era mattress’ which constantly deflate or the seams rupture. This air mattress ive been using for a few weeks and havent even had to re-inflate it once, it didnt stretch and has kept all the air inside. It’s incredibly sturdy and what id expect from any air mattress, but unfortunately many other manufacturers cant get it right. Dont even waste your time with other ones and just buy this, you will waste so much money on other crap. This is the #1 air mattress ive ever had, hands down, no contest, 100% Update after 6 months of use: Still the absolute best air mattress ever made, absolutely no issues in 6 months of use every single day and even taken it camping multiple times deflated, reinflated. Everything is absolutely premium with this product. Legit dont waste your money on any other brand, this thing is great!

Excellent mattress, but perhaps not for tenting.
I like this mattress. It is convenient that it is always inflated correctly. I use it for camping. I find it doesn't hold its shape well, though. The corners have become much more rounded. On hot sunny days, it gets quite hot inside the tent. I don't think it is designed to handle the hot temperatures inside a tent on a hot day. If you don't subject it to such high temperatures, it will probably not be a problem.
