Martha Stewart's Cakes: Our First-Ever Book of Bundts, Loaves, Layers, Coffee Cakes, and More: A Baking Book

I love to bake and I love cakes and I got very tired of looking up recipes online only to find most of them based on cake mixes. If been using a lot of Martha Stewart's record and decided it would just be easier to have a book. I looked through a variety of her books and picked this based on reviews and content. I am so not disappointed! The recipes are well written, good hints and tips, beautiful photos, lots of extra touches. The cakes are amazing, the frostings wonderful (there are a ton of frosting recipes). I wish I could make a different cake ever day. My only complaint is that this isn't helping my diet, but it sure satisfies my desire to bake and my sweet tooth.

As always I'm a huge Martha Stewart supporter and I had to buy this book as soon as I saw it was available. It's part of her other series of books like Cupcakes, Cookies and Pies/Tarts. I had to get this to add to my collection. I noticed some differences in the fonts used throughout the book when comparing to the older books but it's still fine. I still love it and the recipes are fantastic! You can never go wrong with a Martha recipe! I've made a few things from here already and everything has turned out delicious! If you're looking for a cake book, this is it and it's pretty easy for beginner cake bakers!

As soon as I receive this today, I baked Martha pumpkin spice cake and let me tell you it was on point. Can’t wait to try more recipes from this book.

This is the best book I have ever bought. So far, I have baked 8 of the recipes and have repeated a few of them. The recipes are easy to follow, particularly for an amateur like me, but the final product is amazing.

I've made the citrus poppy seed and the maple cake thus far. Both were superb. I believe that these recipes are extremely well tested and fine and well researched examples of their type. I did not give this five stars because it is very awkward to use as an ebook. The photos are not very good in this version. The existence of blank pages and the structural problems make me wish I'd bought this as a traditional book, not as an ebook.

Martha explains in great detail how to make icing and bake, which is my favorite hobby. I will bake it, take a bit, and give the remaining baked goods away. I will tell the person that I got the recipe from Martha Stewart's Cakes Cookbook. Thanks Martha, I know my friends will buy.

This book is similar to her other books on Cupcakes, Cookies, and Pie & Tarts. I have enjoyed the other ones and I will enjoy this one as well. There are a good variety of recipes, both common recipes, as well as some unusual ones. A few that are looking particularly appealing to me are the Molasses-Spice Cake with Cream Cheese-Sour Cream Frosting and Brown-Sugar Glaze(a lot of hypens but sounds delicious, especially for fall), Strawberries-and-Cream Cheesecake, Lemon Meringue Cake, and Cheesecake with Poached Apricots. Some of the features of the book that I really enjoy are having a color picure of each recipes, and having a list of all recipes at the front of the book under each chapter heading so you can easily glance through to find an appealing recipe or see if a recipe is included for a particular cake you are looking for.

What a perfect baking cookbook. The absolutely best cookbook on cakes that I've ever seen and owned. The chocolate cake was heavenly. The directions were perfect and the book has so many pictures. Almost every recipe had a picture. Worth the price and a keeper.

The best recipes I have used so far. They are very beautiful cakes and great explanations and easy to follow.

Même quelqu'un de pas expert réussirait ces recettes et en plus elles sont très justes, on a toujours un résultat parfait, je suis fan de MS et j'ai d'autres livres aussi, tous aussi performants et utiles.

Si eres fan de Martha Stewart y de los bizcochos, bundts, layer cakes. Como todo lo que hace, fotos estupendas, direcciones claras y precisas (el inglés no es problema) e ideas para 2 años haciendo cakes, aunque para mi gusto, viendo las cantidades, salen demasiado grandes y con abuso de mantequilla y azúcar, como les gusta a los americanos. Pero me encanta el apartado de cakes de frutas. El problema, como todos los libros americanos, las medidas en cups (ni este ni el de Pies traen conversiones). A buscarse cacitos medidores o una tabla de conversiones en google.
