If you need a USB-C cable that offers Thunderbolt then this cable works an absolute treat. I needed it for a Mac-to-Mac transfer after one Macbook went a bit freaky on me, so this cable allowed me to put the Mac into Target DIsk mode and voila, I could take all the data off. I also discovered that this cable works better with my WD portable drive. I recently thought the drive was playing up with my Macbook air as it was not mounting on the desktop consistently. So I was in the process of backing it up and going to erase it until I tried this cable. Using this cable, I connected the drive to my Mac and it works everytime. It seems to allow more power to the drive and so, I no longer have any issues. I've found that if my Mac isn't plugged in, then with some drives they need a bit more power that my USB ports can't give them. This seems to be the fix I didn't realise I needed. Very happy.

This powers my MacBook Pro 2016 model through a Belkin Docking Station. It's pricey but the important part is that it has the outage to support high end Voltage needed for something as powerful as my MacBook. If you need a cable for your Thunderbolt 3 dock compatible with M1- M3 chip Mac computers, I would recommend. Just beware the length of the cable isn't that long.

Great quality, if a little more expensive than others, and it transferred data very fast and reliably. Worth it specially if you have professional needs for speed and safe keeping of work files.

Connects to a thunderbolt hub at 40Gbs with no dropouts, so all good so far. I’ve stressed it by maxing out data rates whilst displaying a 5k monitor and delivering power and it hasn’t missed a beat. My only concern is the plugs seem a little frail, but I won’t be plugging/unplugging often.

A quality cable in all respects. It feels durable and works flawlessly with my MacBook. The thunderbolt cable that came with my expensive Dell monitor was garbage by comparison - couldn't sustain an image on screen at all from my MacBook. I thought there was something wrong with my MacBook until I tried this cable.

I’ve had two of the Belkin Thunderbolt3 2 meter cables. They worked well, it is capable of the full 40gbps throughput. However, my main gripe with this cable is: I’ve had two that have broken in exactly the same place. One of which also had a build quality issue where the seal that joins the connector to the cable was not inserted correctly. If you ever drop your laptop, it will land on this connector and the connector will crack through the main body. This never happens on passive (1m and shorter) thunderbolt cables, or USB-C cables. So there is definitely something about the design of the cable connector. The body is particularly weak and thin.
