Great natural product for increasing blood levels!
If I could give 10 stars, I would! This product works great in increasing blood levels without the terrible side effects that a typical supplement has. I was severely anemic due to heavy menstrual bleeding. Once the bleeding was under control, my blood level went from a 9 to a 12 in about 5 months. I feel so much better! The pill does have a slight irony scent but itโs not at all unpleasant. I took this daily right before I ate lunch as I had to stretch the timing out due to taking a thyroid pill in the am. With it, I always ate a small orange or had a small glass of orange juice as I learned vitamin c helps your body absorb the iron. It never once made my stomach upset. I did learn to not lie down immediately after taking the pill as it can cause heartburn. Sitting upright for about 10-15 minutes after taking helped avoid this. Overall I highly recommend this product!

Noticeable improvement in vertigo and fainting episodes within 2 weeks
Through perimenopause (with heavy periods for the first time in my life) and after a radical hysterectomy, I believe my iron levels fell over the course of about 4 years. Earliest symptoms were chronic daily tension headaches and non-restorative sleep, followed by thinning hair, brittle nails, heart palpitations, low motivation, depressed mood, extreme brain fog and difficulty communicating my thoughts, and most recently, heavy limbs, crazy fatigue, vertigo and near-fainting episodes. My PCP did try to help but attributed these symptoms to menopause or low blood sugar. HRT and electrolytes helped ease some of my symptoms a little but nothing resolved. My hormone clinician suggested getting a full iron panel a month ago and said everything "looked fine," but my ferritin level was 21, and after a little investigating I realized that was low. My PCP said it was worth a shot to try an iron supplement. After trying other iron supplements that gave me an upset stomach, a friend recommended this product and I've had no side effects. I take it with beef liver capsules and vitamin C two hours after breakfast and two hours before lunch. Within two weeks the vertigo and fainting episodes had resolved and I no longer had to lean against a wall every time I moved too quickly. I still don't have a lot of endurance but with rest and pacing myself I can get through the day without everything feeling like a huge effort. I've also noticed that I can sleep through the night deeply, and that sleep feels more restorative, as I typically feel pretty good for the first hour or two of the day. I will have my ferritin rechecked in another few weeks and post my new level and further symptom improvements then. But I'm feeling very hopeful for the first time in a long time! Looking forward to what the next couple of months will bring.

Really noticed a difference!
This supplement is great! Iโm on my third 90 pill bottle. I really needed an iron supplement, I was having all types of iron deficiency issues. I did NOT want a supplement that made me nauseous. I was prepared to just be iron deficient and only try to get it through food until I found this. The comments all said it was great on an empty stomach, so I decided to try it out. The comments were correct, I have never had an issue with stomach upset and I take it every morning on an empty stomach and wait 30 minutes before eating. I have noticed my heart palpitations went away, I only get them if itโs stress related (like once every couple months, I was previously getting them daily due to iron deficiency. I feel that I get cold less often. I still feel like Iโm probably still low on iron, but I was so low before that it has been a huge improvement. I donโt know if I should up the amount, Iโm a bit scared to do that so Iโm sticking with the recommended dose. But yeah, I feel less cold, still cold but I donโt violently shiver randomly when Iโm cold and no one else is. So thatโs a plus lol. Also I checked under my eyes to see how red or not red it was to check the iron levels. From the beginning they were basically flesh colored, not red at all. Now they are fairly red so that means itโs working. I also feel lightheaded less often. As a woman, I do believe it has helped my menstrual cycle be a little bit more tolerable. Overall I get less headaches and I was getting super intense pain at the start of the period for like 3 hours. Now that doesnโt really happen. I was getting that every time for months before taking this. Definitely a difference. And Iโm sure there are other differences I donโt notice or remember. The only negative is this pill tastes absolutely horrendous, and the taste sticks to your tongue. But Iโm willing to deal with the taste every morning rather than feel nauseous taking a different supplement. Also the fact that these pills also have vitamin C in them which you need to help iron absorption and I believe it was B12 and Folic Acid too? Itโs very helpful. I have no intention of stopping taking this supplement for the foreseeable further. Thank you to this brand for making such a great supplement. Love that it is made from natural ingredients too. I donโt like having to worry about whatโs in my supplements. 10/10 would recommend! (Also apparently drinking matcha can block some iron absorption, so if you drink it, Iโd consider looking into this. Iโve seen not to drink it for 1-2 hours before or after supplementing or meals that include iron, if you want the full benefits. Not sure on the facts but just thought Iโd mention.)

Gentle on the Stomach, Actually Helps with Energy
I picked up MegaFood Blood Builder because Iโve had borderline low iron for a while, and the usual iron supplements never worked for meโthey either upset my stomach or I just couldnโt stay consistent with them. Since I travel a lot, I also needed something predictable that wouldnโt cause issues while Iโm on the go. After a few weeks of use, Iโd say this one mostly delivers on what it promises, but not in a dramatic, overnight way. First thing I noticed is that itโs genuinely easier on the stomach compared to typical iron pills. That alone makes a big difference. Iโve taken it both with and without food, and I didnโt get the usual nausea or that heavy feeling iron supplements sometimes cause. That seems to line up with what a lot of other people mentionโthis is one of the main reasons people stick with it. In terms of energy, the effect is gradual. I didnโt suddenly feel โboosted,โ but over time I noticed less of that afternoon crash. It feels more like stabilization than stimulation, which I actually prefer. From what Iโve read in other usersโ experiences, that slow improvement seems commonโitโs not a quick fix, but it builds up. What I like: No noticeable digestive side effects (big win) Includes vitamin C, B12, and folate, so it feels more complete Easy to take consistently, even when traveling Tablets are not overly large compared to some others That said, there are a few downsides worth mentioning. The results take time. If youโre expecting fast changes in iron levels or energy, this might feel underwhelming at first. The price is higher than basic iron supplements. Youโre paying for the โgentleโ formulation and added nutrients. You have to stay consistent. Missing doses seems to slow down progress noticeably. In practical terms, this works well for people who need a daily maintenance supplement rather than a rapid correction. For example, if youโre managing mild iron deficiency, fatigue from low levels, or just trying to keep things balanced long-term, it fits that use case well. Itโs also convenient if youโre traveling or have a busy schedule since it doesnโt require strict timing or pairing with meals. My expectation going in was simple: improve iron levels without side effects and help with fatigue over time. Iโd say it met that expectation, but with the caveat that patience is required. Itโs not a dramatic product, but itโs a reliable one. In terms of value for money, it depends on what you prioritize. If youโve had issues tolerating iron supplements before, this is probably worth the extra cost. If not, cheaper options might do the job just as well. Overall, it feels like a well-designed supplement for consistency and comfort rather than speed.

It works! No side effects.
Aged. Doc wanted me to take iron to get red blood results out of anemic level. I took 1 a day for 6 months. At the same time I majorly decreased red meat for medical reasons, so I was doubtful this iron would work. I tried this one since it was food based, and other users reported no constipation. What a surprise! No constipation. Blood results were positive, even hugely reducing red meat! Doc said, "It works. Keep using it!"

No constipation. Healthy.
Same effectiveness as ferrous sulfate. Without the constipation. Good value since it's a good size for the money.

Blood Builders Work!
My wife has taken these blood builders for years and she has blood tests 3X per year to monitor a condition she has. The support of these blood builders is evident in her test results.
