It has a special coating that looks nice. While it can't be washed in a washing machine, you can quickly clean the interior. And the biggest plus - it won't break like the fragile glass french press. I like it.

I'm very happy with this purchase. This French press does exactly what I hoped - it keeps my coffee hot for at least half an hour. It might be longer but I haven't tested it because this all I need to pour a first and second cup. Its very sturdy and easy to clean - great quality. A huge improvement over the glass French Presses I've have used in the past. Also, I recommend the black finish so you don't end up with water spots on it.

This thing works great and as expected. I consistently get no noticable grounds passing through the filters other than fine amounts which is expected for a normal french press. This also keeps the coffee hot for as slow as I drink. The amount this holds is also a lot as there is easily three cups of coffee. Cleaning is super easy and everything comes apart quickly and makes it simple to put into the dishwasher. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is becasue the finish has come off after about 7 months of use. The dishwasher is probably getting too hot, but lucky it's just a stainless steel finish under. Maybe 3% of the finish has chipped off so far so not bad. Would still recommend.

As a coffee snob I found French press to make the richest coffee. I must have owned over a dozen presses. Fragile Glass, hard to clean but resilient plastic…. And now this! Robust & Easy to clean. Wide enough to get my big meaty fist down and in to wipe. Stain Free. Built like a brinks truck. Attractive esthetics. And a great price point. Happy all the way around!

I love this one. I actually use it to make green tea every morning, and so far, after about 3 weeks, the tea is not staining it like it did my previous ones. Also it retains the heat well, though t not as well as I would have thought it might. It is not much better with that then my last glass one. Nonetheless I am very happy with the quality, and at age 72 I hope this will be my last one ever. haha. We all have had our share of broken glass French Press vessels over the years. When my cat jumped up on the table and knocked my latest one to the floor a few weeks ago I knew it was time to search for a new one. I found many similar to this one, so making the choice came down to price and color choices.

Wanted a stylish Coffee Press and that’s what I got! It holds enough for about 3 to 4 cups of coffee (or 2 mugs). It’s lightweight and looks amazing. Easy to use and easy to clean. Plunger works well and it pours perfectly. When they say it’s ‘insulated’ I wouldn’t compare it to insulated drink mugs etc… it will keep your coffee hot for about 15 mins then it’s going to slowly lose heat. You can help it along by rinsing it out with hot water before use (I.e. pre warm it) and making sure to turn the lid to ‘closed’ after pouring. It’s a lovely addition to the kitchen and a pleasure to use.

I've had this product for close to 5 years but have been using it only for the last 6 months or so. Almost everything about the pot is satisfactory EXCEPT about 2 months in the black coating on the outside of the pot started flaking. Some of the flakes make their way into my coffee -- not good. For that reason, I'm rating this with three stars.

This press is as described. Really cool black finish, hand washes really easy and nice. The instructions are good to brew an awesome cup of coffee. Overall solid unit!

Pros: - Resistente. Al ser de metal es muy difícil que la rompas. Llevo tres de cristal en un año, esperemos esta nos dure mucho más de un año. - Calidad. Se siente muy bien hecha, de buena calidad, además es muy bonita. - Funcionalidad. Además de hacer café, como era de esperarse, mantiene la temperatura por bastante tiempo, y por fuera no se calienta, por lo que el riesgo de quemarte es mínimo. Contras: - Peso. Es pesada, al ser de acero y estar aislada, lo cual puede ser un problema para personas mayores, o con movilidad limitada.

The only downside is that some of the paint got on the spout. I reordered and even the replacement had a tiny bit, but I decided to keep this one.
